[Mk2] [Turbo] Upgraded brakes/Pads

Post by rossonza »

Ive currently got some cheap pads on the mr2 and i want to upgrade. i was considering some Wilwoods (do a full brake upgrade) but the postage costs etc put me off.

I read a lot about carbotech pads. Are these still decent? this will be ran on a fast road car used occasionally on track. (currently 300hp, will be 400+ in a year or so)

any recommendations would be great, be it pads alone or full big brake kits.

I've got Rev5 brakes on mine with carbotechs. Stopping power is immense IMO.

I wasnt sure on rev differences with brakes, but i think rev 1 are smaller?

Where did you get your Carbotechs from? and any clue on the model number?

Yeah, Rev1 are smaller, hence got the later bigger ones.

As to where from and model number, sorry, not a clue. Had them for years, my car just never gets used

Contacted carbotech Europe direct. I'll update on their performance once installed/tested
