[Mk2] [Turbo] Wheel alignment issue

Post by bigdave247 »

Hi all, i recently had my alignment done on my 92 turbo and now its all over the place, it's like the back end isn't connected to the front end and is constantly trying to swap ends even at low speeds i took it back to national tyres they said it was set properly and that the tyres need to bed in to the new settings can anyone help?
(A bit about the car its on standerd 15" wheels with r888 tyres and mister r coilover susspension and all the bushes are pollys)
I have a print out of the alignment but i dont know how to up load onto here.

I'm assuming it feels like crap to drive in the dry because R888's are hardly a good tyre in the wet.

Take a picture of the alignment on yer phone and you can upload it to imgur from the website on phone or just download the imgur app. This will give a link that you can share.

Don't think I've ever had an alignment place do it in mm for me haha, so that could be why it looks completely off.

But the camber figures on yours look like there in degrees I dunno 🤔

The caster on the front is off the scale!

Look on alignmycar for a hunters alignment place near you.

Well also the fact that caster isn't adjustable unless he's got aftermarket tension rods. Or a rev1 with the different front arm setup

The caster will move some when making other adjustments.
Also some front topmounts have eccentric placed hole. Not sure which rev but they could have been fitted oriented wrong.

EDIT
just re read the first post and saw followers so scratch the topmount suggestion

Hi, all after a lot off Internet searching I realised that I was either toeing in far to much or far to little so I gave it 1 full turn of extra toe in this was a catastrophic mistake the car was crabing in a straight line, so I gave it 2 full turns back out and now the car drives great, I am not sure what the measurements are but I will put it on when I get it professionally checked.
Thanks for everyone's help.
