Re: Buying a mk1 MR2

Thanks for the replies and the edit admin! Definitely not original colour. Looks okay, just remember to do all the usual checks. :+: Yeah, I thought that and can't find a mk1 original colour guide with pictures I found a while ago! It's a bit modified looking looking for me, I'm looking for a more o...

Re: Brake Hoses

You could get Goodridge hoses for the same price, dunno if they're much different but they've been recommended to me a few times.

Re: Buying a mk1 MR2

when buying one of these i would really recommend biding your time and picking a good one. I looked at a few before picking the one i wanted (i know the engine has now blown up but meh) and i think i found a good shell i am very happy with! Alex It's a lot easier to replace the engine than trying t...

Re: Buying a mk1 MR2

Quick update. I went to have a look at the car today. It was quite poor and needed a lot of work....more than i'm capable of anyway! Drivers arch rotten and needs replacing, rear passanger panel needs welding or replacing. The worst part was when i lifted the carpet in the passanger footwell and fou...

Worth getting it with a year's NCT on it surely.

Ah I'd be fixing the rust before spraying alright, was just wondering if the paint is still easily got.

Re: Buying a mk1 MR2

Edited the link so it works now. :thumleft: It's definitely had some work done on the front end, looks like there's a bit of rust on the front valence as well. Always worth a look if it's close, it's a good chassis and the base of the A and B pillars that you want to be looking for. Thanks for the ...

Re: Buying a mk1 MR2

Apart from the horrific grammar and spelling mistakes I can see dinks in the front bumper, front wing, pinstripes missing on front wing. Looks like its had the front and rear bumpers sprayed as its got no decals, no screaming eagle image on rear bumper, no 'TOYOTA' stick on front bumper and pinstri...

Buying a mk1 MR2

Hi, I had a 02 Corolla T-sport for about two years but sold that as I needed a diesel. So I have a few quid to buy a second "neo classic" and have my heart set on a Mk1 MR2. They're not very common in Ireland and have only ever seen one or two on the road. Anyway, this one has caught my ey...
