Re: What do you hate about mr2 ownership
Yeah, I have noticed the last quarter goes quicker. In my old Corsa, it used to stay over the full mark for 80 miles, first quarter lasted about 100 miles, 2nd quarter went after about 50, and i would be at around 400-450 at the reserve light flashing

fuel consumption (I know it's a 2 ltr, but come on!)
I don't think its that bad tbh, mine got ~35MPG on a run, it sucks on non motorway / local stuff, but thats expected. If you want MPG get a diesel hatch or diesel barge imo

4k at 90mph is absolute bliss compared to my previous 1.poo Corsa - 3750 @ 70mph

Re: Won't start - AA & Garage say Cambelt has jumped (Rev1na) ???
From what I understand the 3SGE and 3SGTE are non-interference engines (just from what I have gathered from poking around on here and mr2oc), so it should just be a matter of new cambelt kit and retiming?

Re: MR2 of the month
What? No. "It works on CCUK (Corsa C forum) when the mods / admins got their finger out" keyword - CCUK, not here :? It really needs the admin / moderator team to do it, otherwise regular members doing it will end up PMing mods to sticky / close threads, at which point said mods may as wel...

Re: MR2 of the month
It works on CCUK (Corsa C forum) when the mods / admins got their finger out, can't see why it wouldnt work well here! I'm sorry? Was that a dig at us? Shall we put aside the other stuff we do in order to do this? I don't see anyone stepping up to do this themselves! No? I dont see how it could be ...

Re: 1997 Rev.4 MR2 GT T-Bar N/A
Tyres had less than I thought, so alloys are out - ordered some T1R's at £100 each for the rear, fully fitted. Onto the not so good news - the car has developed a clutch related noise - when the clutch is engaged there is a light 'rattling' sound - inverted commas because it isnt really a rattle, bu...

Considering this little combo: http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/jl-audio-j2-360-2.html http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/jl-audio-evolution-c2-650.html First things first - its a fair amount of money so, in your opinions, can I get better for the money? Second, where would be the best place to mount th...

Re: 1997 Rev.4 MR2 GT T-Bar N/A
Thanks! Yeah, its the first MR2, gone from a 1.poo Corsa C to this. I think the only two things the C has over this is economy and a softer ride, but the MR2 is better in every other respect. I was quite impressed with its fuel consumption on the motorways though, did a 180 mile journey on monday an...

1997 Rev.4 MR2 GT T-Bar N/A
Hi guys, picked this up on friday: http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs801.snc4/68154_484313793765_603598765_5755700_3746703_n.jpg Its standard apart from a Momo wheel, Exhaust and Induction. Not sure what the exhaust is (I have pretty much every receipt for this car since new), and the in...
