Re: Josh's Rev 3 Turbo
Mines safely tucked up in the garage still, got some new parts on the shelves awaiting some time...but been more focused on our daughter recently. Thinking of making the drive out to LeMans next year for the hypercar racing (assuming it still happens)... I'd love to. Unfortunately, the majority of ...

Re: Josh's Rev 3 Turbo
You still got this piece of crap?! Thought you'd moved onto newer things. Good stuff!! Indeed, for my sins. I could never get rid. I get giddy every time I drive it  Haven't really touched it since the back end of 2018 due to purchasing my first house, but there's a fair few upda...

Re: Josh's Rev 3 Turbo
How was the MR2 as a GT car? One fo the aims for mine to go for a fast GT car for cruising. That's a very subjective question. For me, I absolutely love it. My passenger also enjoyed the ride - even managed to nap  However, I have had people in it for much shorter journey's and they've complai...

Re: Josh's Rev 3 Turbo
Next up on the Le Mans 2016 prep list was stickers! Came up with a plan. Ordered what I could online and spoke to a local decal guy for the rest. Spent an entire weekend installing all of this lot. https://i.imgur.com/FgTdBpD.jpg https://i.imgur.com/5gLPQ0k.jpg https://i.imgur.com/eXTKRlr....

Re: Josh's Rev 3 Turbo
Next up on my list was to re-visit the suspension. Current setup is Bilstein B6 shocks (Yellow Billies), HKS lowering springs, Prothane polybush's all round and TRD anti-roll bars. Whilst I was happy with it, there was room for improvement, so before shelling out for a full geo setup I decided to pu...

Couple of little odd jobs sorted next. Borrowed the old man's lift 8) https://i.imgur.com/muFQSXh.jpg Exhaust heat shield was looking tired and given that most of my time recently was spent underneath the car, it was bugging me. Quick refresh and my OCD levels had calmed :) https://i.imgur.com/i3Sky...

Ryan S wrote:That's good to hear. Mine is currently terrible. Had wheel wobble under braking for ages. Split new discs (supra discs), Refurbed 200sx calipers and new pads. Wobble still there so has to be something else.
Looking forward to your updates!
Thanks man. Good luck sorting yours

Re: Josh's Rev 3 Turbo
Long overdue post. I'll pick up where we left off with the mr2 last time round. It had just received a whole host of new parts; turbo, exhaust manifold, exhaust system, radiator and radiator fans to name a few. Everything had been built back up ready for the imminent Japfest show that weekend and fo...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Catch can/breather
I'm currently just holding onto it with my setup but I may well change it in future. Done with the thought of tidying up the engine bay. If i find that excessive amounts of oil are building up in it then I'll route it back into the block as per oem. Actually need to put miles on the car for that to ...

Custom can. Made it myself and got a local welder to melt it all together.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Catch can/breather
I ditched the pcv on mine, blanked off the hole in the intake mani and ran both cam cover lines to a catch can. Catch can is vented currently but means there's always a fine oily residue around that part of the engine bay. Either need to baffle the can better or run a drain to the block like the oem...

Interested to see the replies and your progress on this. Something I've pondered doing at some point too
