Re: MOT emissions testing - CAT/no CAT
I got him to abort the test and he didnt charge me so balls to him, i just wont go there again. Going to take it to someone who did mine in the past who is going to do it properly spoke to him before hand. , no harm done just a inconvenience.

Re: MOT emissions testing - CAT/no CAT
Just had my 1994 mr2 turbo fail emissions, wouldnt do a non-cat test despite what i said because he found the 3sgte under the celica and would only test to that despite it not been a exact match. Picked a good one there!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Running in a rebuilt 3S-GTE and what oil to use???
I used Millers 10w40 running in oil, under varied load for 400 miles then swapped to 10w40 millers cfs after did the job well.

Re: Cam belt
I've had the cambelt done on my last 2 mr2 3sgte and both times it took about 2 hours not rushing, it was done while I waited. Just involved dropping the engine off it's mount on the cambelt side supported by a jack. I know this doesn't help much but it's definitely possible to do it quickly. Seen a...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] GT3582R advice - Cam choices
Sure there are people who have run 500+ on stock rods and standard cams if the can come forward, think the high rpm is what kills the rods. I would get that fueling setup then spend your money on keeping intake temps down so go for that bootmount. With that and what you have now you would see well i...

Re: Whats best course of action..help please
Yeah as above but anyway if your keeping costs down you might aswell give it a good service, give the suspension and brakes a good looking over and when your satisfied with the servicing run it at 1 bar and have a nice fast fairly reliable car.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Seals for SARD 850cc injectors
you wont need collars for the i dont think assuming they are 63564, look at yours compared to the other 2 injectors what are suppose to be for the 3sgte the other 2 have a smaller neck and require a collar, not 100% but looks like it on the photos.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Mongoose Exhaust
I have a mongoose and i love it, its not too loud but has a very good tone and is a pretty standard looking exhaust. If this is your thing then i would keep a look out on ebay for one they come up quite often and are usually very cheap £100-150. If you want subtle i really wouldn't go for a japspeed...

Re: Speedo conversion from a NA car?
take the speedo part of the cluster out and you can just roll the numbers to change the milage, use a little screwdriver the push the retaining cog aside, its all obvious once its out. Lots of people change their milage when fitting new clusters or after importing and its completely legal aslong as ...

Re: Replacing Shock Absorbers
Black bilstein dont have removable inserts you would just have to replace the unit, however they are all interchangeable, so if you want you could get a complete rebuildable strut and fit that.
