I think in the past I have pulled it from the outer edge.

Re: door mirror glass removal?
It can be removed but it's one of those "Close your eyes and commit" things. It's held in place by a ball and socket in the center that needs fair bit of force to dislocate it plus the 2 toothed adjusters that will just pull out and sound horrible!

Re: MK1a engine in MK1b?
It's also only the very earliest mk1a engines that have the smaller clutch, most have the larger one. It's not really an issue as you can use either as long as you match the appropriate clutch with the same type of flywheel.

Re: Is my engine dead?
Certainly sounds like theres something wrong if you have no compression on 2 cylinders, it's likely to indicate an air path between those two cylinders most probably due to a head gasket breach although there are other possible causes.

Re: 4AGE distributor less ignition
Currently I use 2 of the 7MGTE coil packs using a wasted spark setup from my AEM. I believe that the individual 7M coils are the same as the 4AGZE DLI just there are 3 of them in total and the bracket to house them is different as a result. I also used two ignitor packs from single coil st182 Celic...

Re: 6spd Mk1 Turbo in the Toyota Sprint Series
I had arrived at this wheel setup some years ago before I even thought about the 6 speed option (My original intention was to use 225/45/13 R888s but these are in short supply now and the size hasn't been continued with the new R888-R). It's just taken me a while to bring it all together My motivati...

Re: 4AGE distributor less ignition
I have a Smallport GZE run by an Omex 600 using OEM twin DLI coils (Each coil fires two cylinders). I inherited it rather than choosing this set up myself but it seems to do the job. I believe the coils are the same as those used on the 7M-GTE (Although being a 6 cylinder that uses 3 of them) which ...

Re: 6spd Mk1 Turbo in the Toyota Sprint Series
Wheels are 13x8 Compomotive CX
Tyres are 235/45/13 Kumho V70 in the soft compound
I was watching the 2014/2015 Croft videos again earlier and it looks so slow compared to how it goes now, definitely need to get a more recent video sorted.

Re: 6spd Mk1 Turbo in the Toyota Sprint Series
It sounded like you had a moment. or should that be movement ? Understand now, I had no sound when I looked earlier. My old setup with the 15s used to rub slightly at full compression in tight corners. Was only ever evident in right hand hairpins, shouldn't be a problem on the 13s although I won't ...

Nah, all under control.
Had a fairly big moment at Croft this year which I might stick up though (Locked the back under braking into Tower and spent a couple of seconds trying to gather it all up whilst scubbing off speed so that I didn't end up in the field!)

Re: Heater/blower resistor pack
I'd be surprised if there isn't a suitable alternative that's more readily available, although I'm not sure how easy it'll be identify one. A good starting point might be to find a Toyota of similar vintage that was sold in the UK with a/c in decent numbers

They're 10mm but they are double-hex so make sure you are using a 12 point socket.

Re: 6spd Mk1 Turbo in the Toyota Sprint Series
Undecided yet, I'd like to do it, but then I'd also like to get smashed at the TSS end of season bash and I can only really do one of those things. My pace at the weekend (About 3 1/2 seconds quicker than when I did Croft with the Javelin series earlier this year) has me leaning towards doing the Ja...

Re: 6spd Mk1 Turbo in the Toyota Sprint Series
Has it really been a year since I last updated this? There's a fair bit happened in the last year too... The major winter project was replacing the supercharger with a turbo. Didn't quite get it done for the first round so ended up starting the season with a low compression n/a but it's all b...

Where the part is listed on your screenshot there are 2 part numbers listed. when I look on ToyoDiy I see the same 2 part numbers but the description text is in English: 87138-17030 - [No description text] - Presumably the standard item that you have just bought 88635-17030 - "W/Automatic air c...

It's so wrong, looking online people who have claimed their money back via their credit cards have then had their PSN accounts deleted, this means losing any previous in game purchases, (i.e. I bought black ops 3 and all the map packs plus half a dozen map packs on the ps3), could loose them all, H...
