Re: Tips removing a rounded off seized nut or bolt. (video exhaust manifold bracket)

I've been defeated..

I have 7mm holes all the way through the stud, ive tried to extract but they will not budge.

So i'm going to ask a friend of mine to rethread them or something.

I don't normally accept defeat but I'm getting tired of this exhaust manifold

Re: Tips removing a rounded off seized nut or bolt. (video exhaust manifold bracket)

Okay thanks for the advice. Grinding off the nuts helped. I got the bolt off to get the bracket off.
Now I need to get the two broken studs out. These are seized!

Re: Is it possible to take the cylinder head off without taking the engine out?

All I wanted to do was change all the gaskets and inspect the pistons. I think they are fine but you never know. The main mission is to change the valve stem seals.. so I wanted to remove the cylinder head.. which means I may as well change the Cam Belt at the same time. But the space is a joke and ...

Is it possible to take the cylinder head off without taking the engine out?

3sge sw20 rev2 engine

I'm at the point where I'm taking the exhaust manifold off from above and below the car.

I'm failing to see how I can remove the cam belt and pulleys etc... with the space next to the rear shock.

is it possible or should I just remove the engine?

My project G-Limited MR2 MK2 Rev2 import on youtube

So I'm a complete novice. I know nothing about cars and I decided to buy an MR2. I hunted one down for £300 and it runs fine. Two biggest issues are a bit of rust on the sill nearish the seatbelt drivers side so that needs some cleaning up and welding. But the other issue is the emissions are too hi...

Re: Someone stole my front fog lights

Okay thanks Thomp.
It's 100% the fog lights. So I have no idea how they got them out.

If you go to imgur dot com and put /wgVANSO at the end you will see what I mean.
