Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Ct fitment hybrids?

Good evening Ryan, we do offer repairs and upgrades on customer supplied CT20s yes, but we don't supply them outright. The are fully rebuilt with steel exhaust turbine wheel, a larger 71mm billet compressor wheel, cutback exhaust turbine blades and uprated bearings and seals. Aswell as all the neces...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Ct fitment hybrids?

Which specific variant of the GTX28 did they have? There's loads of possible combinations which will give varying results! Not 100% sure to be honest. Spoke to midlands turbo who apparently do a faster spooling version of the s148. Based on a ct20. Can do over 400bhp too. Comes in at £800ish all in.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Ct fitment hybrids?

Somebody on faceache showed me this, it's way to expensive. My goal is just drivability. Jaaaaaaaash on here says his GTX28 is a bit laggy. I gues the only way to have an mr2 actually drive like an mr2 is to have it stock with bolt ons :( My goal really is drivability though. It's all well being abl...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Ct fitment hybrids?

Looking at a bolt on turbo whats available? S148 looks great but hearing conflicting info on how it spools. Basically I want the car to drive more or less like stock but with some extra oomph. On paper the s148 looks fantastic.

Any other options?

Feel free to air your thoughts and experience.

Re: Dyno results. 420@ the hubs.

Ah well the plot thickens! My CC system decided to randomly stop pumping water after a faultless 8000 miles, turned out the little valve on the pre-rad was open slightly. Blew a load of hot air into the engine and either burst the head gasket or cracked the block. So away to whip engine out this wee...

Re: Mr2 spider for sale in Japan

I totally agree man. I could sell mine for £10k no problem but other than the power it's not great to great on todays roads. There's nothing that hasn't been changed on it and all parts are under 8000 miles old yet my wee audi A3 is far nicer to drive. In fact, There's loads of 90's cars that are fa...

Re: Prices

The rev 5 turbo on that list is repaired and has 272000 km I mean who on earth is going to buy that? it will be bought by an importer/trader, given a hair cut and sold onto an unsuspecting buyer, probably. If you look for a high grade low mileage rev 5 turbo you'll see prices are on the rise. Price...

Wahay! Back on the road. Fitted another shaft and my rattle is gone! So it was obviously coming from the shaft somewhere. Good to have it back on the road :)

Same pretty much. Last winter was mild so i had no issue. I was always very aware of it not having any coolant in it though.
