So many people spend a mortgage building a car then as soon as it's finished they sell up without reeping the rewards, noticed this 20 years ago, someone is in for a total bargin,

Re: The Predator

Hi Martin, How you’re well.! The answer is simple - when I started this project this is what I wanted to achieve.. ! :thumleft: Obviously that amount of power is not idea in a 2 for he Road, the planned is to lower the boost - say to 1.8 bar with 550bhp .. but knowing the engine, fuelling, Turbo ar...

Re: The Predator

Small update : Working being done on the ..‘Predator’’.. this Monday 16.10.17 - then a dyno booked for 20.10.17. Last visit to the dyno - roughly 1.8 bar = 570 bhp with x2 small gasket blows on the adaptor between the manifold and downpipe... this will be welded. So, returning to the dyno as mentio...

Re: Andy's Rev 3 Turbo - Project complete.

Have you sold yours already then Martin? That went silently! I still have it, going to break the car though as the paint work is a joke and would take ££££ of what she is worth.... :( , i just spent £600 on two rear tyres, fresh oil and a new mot yet had her out just once since then, not money well...

Re: Andy's Rev 3 Turbo - Project complete.

Went out today for a real blast. Not to drive anywhere for a reason other than have some time to just enjoy the car. I TAKE IT ALL BACK! kept up with a bently continental GT to just over 70mph  and I have to say the car drives faultlessly. As in, it feels as solid and reliable as a new OEM ca...

Re: Andy's Rev 3 Turbo - Project complete.

Same thing happened to me, i just felt to old for the mr2 so decided to call it a day and buy a more sensible car that doesn't turn heads so much. So far i feel i made the correct decision in every way apart from a couple, one being the straight line speed, 470 bhp at 5k revs is hard to match in alm...

Glad you have finally got the car running with decent power. You still sound like you want more though :?

Did Chris not get 635 odd bhp from a standard inlet and rev 3 head ????

Anyway, Hope you get some dry weather and some enjoyment from the car before the winter kicks in :thumleft:

Re: Andy's Rev 3 Turbo - Project complete.

It seems that life is challenging me right now Martin! The dyno day showed that I was still running lean. Great! FPR previously checked and fine, i know the injectors are new, which leads to the fuel pump. After initial investigation it seems that the brand new (1 year old now [-( ) Toad alarm inst...
