Re: My 99 MR2 GTt

They're 8x18 fronts and 9x18 rears, all arches rolled professionally and no issues with any rubbing and no lack of full lock etc. They do look bigger though due to the low profile tyres and the design I think.

Re: My 99 MR2 GTt

They are Ispiri wheels. Look even better in the metal imo.

Thanks for the kind comments. 😀

Re: My 99 MR2 GTt

Never seen the likes of those wheels before. You take a cracking photo though mate. Is it a turbo...? Theres only currently a handful of these wheels sold, and none of the others are in Jap fitment so they aren't the easiest wheels to get onto anything that isn't VAG fitment, but I wanted something...

Have to say that anthracite or graphite grey would look good. :thumleft:

Re: Oil viscosity change relative to mileage of engine?

As a few others have said, regular changes are equally important. I still use the recommended oil grade at 110k and have no usage or issues (touch wood) between changes.

Re: whats the best lowering springs for the mrk2

Before I recently changed to coilovers I had Apex springs on mine and they were pretty good.

Decent ride quality, no noises, made the car handle a bit better over stock and aren't too costly either. I may actually sell mine as I don't need them anymore.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Vibration over 60 mph - hubcentric spacers/spigot rings?

I have metal ones on mine, I'll try to find out where I bought them from as I cannot remember right now and let you know. They were from eBay and in the UK. The plastic ones are just as good though really as long as you use the correct ones you wont get any distortion or movement issues. With regard...

Re: Front Fog Lights

There are a fair few MR2's being broken on ebay, might be worth sending the sellers a message (if they have good feedback) and seeing if they can sell you some replacements. What aftermarket ones are you looking at?

Re: New alloys put on noise from the back and car feels lose and shakes slightly

May be obvious, but sometimes removing the wheels and refitting them can correct issues like these. Worth a go anyway...

3mm spacers shouldn't really cause a problem as there is still more than enough hub for the wheel to sit on.

My 99 MR2 GTt

Been browsing the forums for a good while now, signed up recently and thought I would post up some pictures of my car. I bought the car by chance after finding an advert on eBay, it was a 2 owner standard Rev5 in black with a T-Bar roof, full Toyota service history from new, folder full of receipts ...

Re: Yet another will these rims fit thead - Sorted.

If the centre bore is 55mm then they wont fit, you may need some hub adapters as the mr2 is 60.1mm centre bore. You can go larger and use spiggot rings to make them snug, but not the other way around without the use of an adapter/spacer that converts the centre bore down to 55mm. If they are 60.1 th...
