Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
Apologies I've not had chance to update this yet! The car (Mule X) is now home. Bit of a saga due to a slipping clutch (now suspected as being the slave cylinder), which took the wind out of my new car sails. It'll be back on the road in a few weeks though. I'll post a proper update soon. Along with...

Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
oh!!!! Let me see if I can find my old post saying you'd be back!!! Everyone comes back!!! What can I say. I'm a sucker for a MK2. Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
No. 8 is off the road at the moment, as I have plans to do some preventative maintenance over the autumn and winter. Even great examples can't avoid the effects of time, so these little bits will keep it youthful for years to come :) Ticked another job off the list yesterday: De-badging the side log...

I still see some silver........ :oldtongue: Me too, which is why I did something about it  Because I'm a glutton for punishment, can't rest while jobs aren't finished and really wanted an excuse for a night off the gym, I did this: https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1892/42871629490_074fe64459_b....

Two I6's vs one V8 Yeah, you'd still win on noise.

Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
Sunday became a visit to Santa Pod, to watch the Euro Finals, so the wrapping had to wait an extra day. I needed my annual fix of top fuel! :lover: Cracked on with doing the next piece last night. This time is was the tunnel/iDrive piece, which I'd not been looking forward to... The removal process ...

Looks better. Used to have a 3 series with that silver finish but latter type have that black finish and always thought it looked better. How did you find it to live with long term. Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
She's good fun, Ross :) Thirsty though! :o I got hold of a BMW coding solution yesterday, which allows you to enable/disable/modify various settings for the car which are normally hidden or disabled. Really neat little set-up. We didn't have long with it yesterday but I managed to do several things ...
