Re: Just bought a Shed! * Pictures added!*

You need to consider if it's worth it to you. I spent thousands on bodywork transforming an £800 car that was actually pretty tidy into my dream mr2. I didn't do it for the money but more for the love of the car. By the time you have spent money on a decent body job then you may find a late spec muc...

Re: total car respray

If you have a good body shop in mind along with a good budget and patience to have it done properly then go for the black one. I was under the same dilemma years back and ended up having my perfect mr2 build and sprayed.

Check this video. I'm pretty sure you just need to remove the mbc and join the 2 pipes going into it. Or better still replace with a single pipe and don't have a join.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Remove mbc to return to stock

Hey. I think removing the mbc should be easy. Just find it and replace it with a straight piece of pipe. The stock recurculation valve may be harder to come by. I can understand removing the bov but why do you wish to remove the mbc and make it slower? How much boost is it currently running?

Re: 10th Anniversary Edition - Turbo Project

Yeah I love it. I used a bbq paint on it so not sure how it will last. The car is a garage queen that doesn't go out in the wet so I'm sure it will be ok. Only time will tell.

Re: 10th Anniversary Edition - Turbo Project

I'm loving the sound of the berk. Sounds a bit more throaty and not as boomy as the nur spec. When I cut it open I was actually shocked that there's nothing in the way of baffles inside. It's pretty much straight through so will flow well. I also heat wrapped the mid pipe that runs under the engine ...

Re: 10th Anniversary Edition - Turbo Project

Quick update: The stock rear engine bay brace wouldn't fit due to the turbo position. So I hunted down a cuscu brace and fitted that. Also picked up a dirt cheap berk twin exit with the intention of cleaning it up and polishing. It also had a problem of what sounded like the internals having colapse...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Berk exhaust - UK stockist?

Thanks. It's the exhaust system I need rather than a down pipe.

[Mk2] [Turbo] Berk exhaust - UK stockist?

Can anyone tell me if there's any UK dealers stocking new Berk exhausts? I've been searching online but can't find any.

Re: Rev 5 Turbo for sale on eBay

That's not a rev 5 steering wheel either. Maybe it's had a front ender. Hence different sagging bumper and no rev 5 airbag wheel

Re: INSURANCE car wrote off. now what? ?

I know this is very long winded but bear with me! I have no experience with Footman James but when I was hit into last year Adrian Flux wanted to write my car off without even looking at the damage "due to its age" (it's a 1999 NA). wow, all i ever read about adrian flux is horror stories...

Has anyone ever converted the stock fog light housing to look original but run as a drl? That would be pretty cool.

Sounds very odd that an insurance company only has 1 approved workshop. I use Hybrid Paintworks in Harlow. They do insurance Work too
