Re: Red maybe rev 2 in Newcastle-U-Lyme last night
I'm trying to get my green rev 3 back on the road soon. Gutted the interior as it is becoming a track car.

Red Rev 5 Barley Mow Milford
Spotted this earlier and went to have a nose at it, looked to be in really good nick. Makes me want another one.

I've seen this one parked up before. Not a clue who the owner is.
Did you see the bright orange supra with the massive wing on someones drive by the mini roundabout?

Re: M20 OMG
Guilty as charged. Cheers for the kind words chaps. I'm currently in the process of stripping it out and hopefully in a year or two am going to start competing in hill climbs with it. Got the Clio due to the MR2 having some mechanical issues (knackered synchro on 3rd and possible suspension damage f...

Really wish I had the money for this. Its exactly the spec I want. Swap for a broken clio 172 and a broken rev 3 na with no interior?
(kidding of course).

Re: Difference between GT and non-GT
Ouch I'm 19 with one years no claims and are getting quoted about £800 on mine. I took a big hit initially though and paid £2.6k at 18 with 0 NCB and got one as a first car.
iirc mine comes back as a GT even though it is a GTi-16.

I've occasionally had small leaves stuck in the vents. More of an annoyance than anything.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Moves forward with clutch fully depressed.
Definitely not pedal adjustment. Sometimes the clutch pedal goes quite hard and a bit spongy. Guessing either slave or master cylinder?

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Moves forward with clutch fully depressed.
That sounds like a good idea. Gearbox related issues aren't the end of the world currently as it should be getting a replacement gearbox fairly soon (synchros are shot). I'll check it tomorrow. Need to check my coolant level aswell tbh.

[Mk2] [NA] Moves forward with clutch fully depressed.
I've discovered an interesting issue with my car.
With the clutch all the way to the floor in 1st the car moves forward on the flat if I hit the rev limiter (yes I know I shouldn't be bouncing it off the limiter etc), it definitely isn't due to the slope because as soon as I let off it stops again.

Mine doesn't usually work, although it has worked once. Any idea of how to fix it?

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Turbo gearbox on an N/A
Amusingly since posting this earlier I've actually sourced a good Rev 3 gearbox. Just need to find out how much it will be to get it fitted. Clutch needed doing anyway.

[Mk2] [NA] Turbo gearbox on an N/A
Well after 9 months of owning the car, a major mechanical issue has finally reared its head. My 3rd gear synchro has decided it no longer wants to do its job. So pretty much unless I've got the revs matched it crunches when changing down from either 4th or 5th into 3rd. Looking on eBay for a replace...

That will be why then. If you fitted N/A suspension to your Turbo it would, in theory have the same ride as your old rev 2.

Was your rev 2 an n/a?
If so they don't run billies.

Re: Central Locking problems
I'm going to hijack this slightly to avoid posting a new topic.
My central locking works fine, but the switch on the drivers door (the lock/unlock switch) unlocks the car fine but doesn't lock it. On that note my window lock switch only works if I hold it down.
