Re: Safest way to lock engine to remove bottom pulley.
Update: Bolt & pulley off. Local mobile mechanic arrived (for cash). Bolt wouldn't budge with the cordless impact gun. Used an induction heater (amazing tool which sits on top of the bolt and heats it up in seconds) to apply heat direct to the bolt. Straight out as easy as and all done in under...

Make up a tool and use the two bolt holes in the crank pulley that Toyota provided for you.

Re: Rev 3 Turbo clutch options - UPDATE, help?
No way a brand new clutch should be slipping, unless it's defective.
Are you sure it was fitted properly (disc the right way round) ?

CT26 vs. CT20 Turbo Support bracket
Can somebody confirm for me whether the CT26 and the CT20 turbo support brackets are different.
I just tried to bolt up my original bracket to the CT20 that i have just fitted and it's miles out. Assuming the brackets are different.
If they are you can predict a 'Wanted' thread from me

Re: Alternator won't go back i
Measure the battery voltage with the car switched off and then with it switched on and running.
It may be that the battery is dying and the alternator output is being dragged down by a faulty battery.

I was close to the 105dB limit when I did the static test at Snetterton in November.
I have a Rev1 turbo engine with no CATs and Japspeed exhaust. I had bungs in the boot just in case but no issue.

Turbo not idling - A fix
So a little bit of a different thread, something which i hope may help others who end up with the same issue as i've just experienced. After my trackday towards the end of last year i had two issues to fix: 1. The missing edges of blades from my turbo. 2. Car not idling at all and cutting out. I man...

Re: car bucking
Why would you replace something that could be working fine?
You need to be analytical in your approach and not just start swapping things by best guess. Measure the fuel pressure first and then go from there.
