Your unlikely to find anything on the inner workings of the ECU, AFAIK Toyota never made that info available.
Have a look at the Toyota 4F/4A-GE engine manual, it has pinouts for different variations of the 4A-GE. you can download it from my web storage with this link CLICKY

Re: Best clutch for racing
Perhaps you need to rethink the way you start ? Phil managed over 500 sprint starts out of a standard blueprint clutch with more power available than you have and still had life left in the clutch (he also suggests a possible uprated replacement) I've been sprinting my mk1 for years, mostly with a 4...

That looks like the plug socket has been at an angle / not fully on the hex and has put stress on the insulator causing it to crack.

Re: SMOKE!
Never heard of or seen that on a MK1 and I've cornered mine pretty hard
Is it definitely oil ? could it be overfuelling, I've seen something similar caused a by a vacuum leak on the hard line running round the inlet plenum to the MAP sensor.

Re: Air flow question
The only real difference fitting a cone filter (of any make) to a MK1 is increased induction noise and appearance, other than that there's no reason to change from the standard set up, there's no appreciable power gain to be made. In my case I reckon I lost bottom end torque and after 6-8 months wen...

Re: Heater Hose Required!!
Sorry, I don't, it was 7 years ago. However by zooming into the pictures I can see the sizes on some of the clips. one is 11--15mm and another is 11--25mm. IIRC I just used what I had, the hoses are the same size either end.

Re: Heater Hose Required!!
I had something similar happen, but it wasn't the actual hoses that were causing the problem. Have a read of this thread http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic. ... ight=close
it may help.

Re: 4age to 4agze conversion
If you'd ever seen can happen when you short out a lead acid car battery you would never position a strip of metal (any metal, it all conducts) that close to the battery terminals. It's not just a question of the battery moving, what about when your disconnecting/connecting the leads or removing the...

Re: Lighting Issue ?? Switch ? Pop-ups ?
Faulty headlight switch are not a common issue in the UK in my experience (mostly seems to be a US of A problem) much more likely to be this Issues with the pop-ups are often caused by the headlight retract relay. or a motor Headlights are fused separately, motors are on single fuse (30A RTR MTR fro...

Re: UK fog switch electrical problem
From the wiring diagram I'm looking at, I think you have the switch wired the wrong way around. r/w should be the 12v feed (which is via a relay on the oem installation) and the r/g is the switched feed to the foglight (the telltale light is also connected to the r/g side of the switch which is why...

Re: Best place to sell?
So £2K car is going to cost you over £30 either way. Autotrader is minimum £36.95,
And those options are going to be fairly short term!
Or for under £30 you could advertise on 3 MR2 specific sites (MK1Club, MR2OC and IMOC) for a year.
No brainer IMO
