I was travelling north bound through the tunne (not in an MR2)l and I think it might also have been wearing a veilside too.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Fuel gauge reading incorrectly.
It takes a coouple of tanks of fuel for it to rediscover what's full and empty.
(Patrick replaced my fuel pump).
If in doubt, put some in ?

Re: Brake Cusco bracket
Actually, can anyone that has one fitted tell us what if any difference it makes and can you feel it? Seems like a really sensible potentially great mod at a great price. I fitted one and it made no difference. If think about it, if you benefit from this your bulkhead is flexing and you have bigger...

Quite telling that the guy never disputes or clarifies any of the claims made about his work on here. He must be aware of the posts. Pete has responded to issues on here in the past. I have to say the anti-Pete brigade do like to whip themselves up into a frenzy at the merest hint of an issue with ...

I run 245/40/17 on stock suspension - feels fine. Comfier than 255/35 anyway.

Re: Is this a characteristic of the mk2 or..?
Yeah I have found that when the mr2 understeers and if you let go off the accelerator the rear end starts to come around, only way to fix it is to give it more throttle and counter steer. Initially I thought an MR layout would be superior in all aspects I.e. Higher entry speed and higher exit speed...

Re: Is this a characteristic of the mk2 or..?
Yes, the weight layout means you have to handle it differently. A front engined car will understeer a bit less because there's more weight and therefore grip on the fronts where an MR will push straight. Conversely, you get more rear grip because your engine is over the rears and helping give you gr...

BC Coilovers replaced with standard rev 5 suspension New or old "rev 5 suspension" ? What's the history of that kit. 17" wheels replaced with standard rev 5 wheels Should improve the ride, but make no real difference. MOT warning on front offside Tyre (inner edge worn on other car) M...

Re: front end downforce
......performance is going to be somewhat different with the heavier engine in the back. You do realise that the engine is IN FRONT OF the rear wheels ? And PFWPF says that means the 'heavier engine' works in your favour if you want to use that argument ? I believe the steering ECU is speed related...

Light at 85 sounds like something is wrong. rev 5 speed flaps help with stability but you should be fine well into 3 figures on the stock body.

The steering rack is also exposed if you lose the central undertray.

Re: New car or engine swap?
Sounds interesting. So standard format how does it compare to the turbo also in standard? Without wanting to be contentious. A 'stock' 2GR is faster than a 'stock' 3s-gte by a bit, not a massive amount, but that misses the main difference, the experience. However..... There are not many 'stock' 3s-...

Re: Did they make MR2 Turbo's in this colour?
UK cars have indicators in the front wings (they are oblong in your image), imports tend to have the side inficators in front of the wheel arches in the side strips. This suggests yours is a UK car (or has UK wings), however the oblong shape isnt common, they're usually more square in shape. Secondl...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Import screen replacement
THat is a bit of a worry. Last I heard was that there were a few bronze tints still in the UK, but they are actually made by pilkington glass who are in the UK.
I wouldn't accept a green/blue tint in mine, but I'm not sure what the options become if they are flat refusing to make more bronze tints.

What ECU are you using Paul? I ask as I seen this while browsing for something else: https://www.scs-delta.co.uk/product-page/lotus-evora Not cheap granted, but then for an (almost) PnP harness with a base calibration, and spec, its pretty interesting for the 2GR posse.. Interesting - I might strik...
