Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Headlight upgrades

I've been running PIAA bulbs in Raybrig housings for a while and I was pretty impressed how well they worked for halogens. Then I saw a japanese dude on instagram with some raybrig LED bulbs, after searching the raybrig website these appear to be SW20 specific although I'm not sure if they only work...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Wheel Alignment

I'd run -2.0 upfront, but even then you probably don't want to, as you do notice the thing tramlining more. That is way too much camber on the rear tho.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Catch can/breather

Yeah but what are yer oil temps like anyway? On the road I find it difficult to get temps over 100c

On track was getting the oil to around 130c without the cooler, which was still within spec for a good quality synthetic but pushing it.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Catch can/breather

Having the space free over the right hand side is handy for running an oil cooler which is what I put there. But I dunno if you'd need one if you aren't tracking the car.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Catch can/breather

Is that a Gen4 intake manifold or an aftermarket one, I do like the way you've kept the turbo>cc>intake run nice and short like that

I was gonna say that shouldn't matter, but then I realised youre in Ireland and I'm assume you'll get clobbered at inspection.

If you don't mind spending money for something made by an actual company just get a set of Raybrigs and some PIAA bulbs

Re: What engine oil in your mega miles Tubby?

Yeah I mean if it's not burning loads of oil through normal use and theres not something obviously wrong like valve seals or the turbo causing it then maybe. My old motor had around 150,000 miles and the only time it burned oil was when I used it on track and also when the turbo seals failed. I just...
