Re: [Mk2] [NA] cam belt bits, rusted strut and oil change advice -help for newbi
- also just noticed a nicely almost rusted through 'strut' (i think it might be a Rear Suspension Brace - but cant find a stockist ) - it goes from near the right rear wheel forward at about 45 degrees to under a plastic floor pan type cover - it is well rusted and so need to get this replaced asap...

Bit far for you I know but if you want somewhere decent its worth it :thumleft: Its about a 40 min drive for me, but I'd always go there rather some of the shoddy places ro...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Brakes squeeking after pad and disc change Rev3
more than likely down to the shims, thats what they are for.you could also try putting a bit of copper grease on the contact points on the back of the brake pads.paul. Allrite thanx, i'll go and buy some shims tommorow then. Do the bolts that attatch the caliper onto the carrier need to be torqued t...

[Mk2] [NA] Brakes squeeking after pad and disc change Rev3
Hi Guys Yesterday I changed my rear discs and pads for shiny new ones due to the old ones being in a pretty bad state. I cleaned up the mating surface on the hub with a wire brush attatchment on a dremmel type tool and some brake cleaner to make sure it was all nice and smooth for the new disc to go...

Did you use a mechanical buffer with the G3 compound, or did you do it by hand? If so what kind of cloth did you use? Microfiber?

Re: MR2 Rev 3 G-Limited Silver 64k £2500 **SOLD**
Sorry for butting in your thread, but what manifold is that? Because I can't find a rev 3 3sge manifold anywhere.
Nice car btw, I would probably jumped on that if this was about a year ago.

Re: A10 ENFIELD RED MK1
I dunno if it's the same car, but there used to be a red mk1 parked on the side of the A10 (you know like on a smaller road with houses running allong side it) nearing the roundabout that gets you onto the M25 i'm pretty sure it had the triangle alloys as well. I used to occasionally see a mint red ...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] cams and pulleys
i wouldn't bother with cams until you've sorted the engine breathing (intake and exhaust out properly first) i.e. induction kit, manifold, exhaust and decat.. because there is absolutely no point in uprating the cams if you have a restriction either before or after them as they won't work to their ...

Re: Rear bumper cover
Youll have to wait till the wekend as I dont have access to the receipt at the moment - all I remember is that they cost £20!!! There are 2 different sizes and IIRC you need 6 of one and 8 of the other. They are a standard part - they look like a plastic rawplug with a plastic cross thread screw - ...

Re: Rear bumper cover
Theres a polystyrene insert inside the bumper to give it a bit of rigidity. They surround the number plate holder indentation so obviously these will be different betwen jap and uk spec. See if they can supply the insert too. You can butcher it with a knife but your better off getting the proper in...

Rear bumper cover
So i've got a rev 3 uk spec car which I am enjoying quite much, but i've had my rear bumper now looks like crap thanks to people touch parking where I live. One side of it the paint looks like it's going to flake off, the other side there are some nasty gouges and there are marks allong the middle o...

Hmm so if the cambelt was changed in 02, does that mean it will need changing soon?

Newbie questions
Hi I recently bought a 96 UK spec NA MR2, with about 88k on the clock and a full toyota service history. I took someone allong with me who is more mechanicly inclined than myself who helped me look over the car, allong with the fantastic buyers guide on this site. Both of us took it out for a test d...
