Re: Liquid slushing sound when cold + throttle
If you buy toyota's yes but the workshop manual only states that you should use a good brand of "Ethylene-glycol base coolant" so it doesn't have to cost the earth. I use this, it meets the requirements and doesn't cost much http://www.halfords.com/motoring/engine-oils-fluids/antifreeze/co...

Re: did a dyno on my mr2 with my race logic traction control on and got 100bhp less
that would probably be because your front wheels are not spinning and it works of the differential of the axles speeds so it thinks its detecting a massive slip angle and hence cutting fuel to try and control it the smaller the slip angle you set on the controller the more power you would have lost.

Re: Noble M500 Upgrades & Overhaul
brilliant build, Just read the whole thread and I love the attention to detail like the brake line holders on the wishbones, on the other hand the piston clearance that was scary, glad you sussed it.
Keep up the good work I'm looking forward to the updates

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Final drive options for the S54 + helpful spread sheet for people
Hi paul, thanks for replying. shame the final drive doesn't fit but it saves me a bit of money at least :thumleft: Yes i totally agree the most effective option would be to bump up the torque but i was looking for a something else to do while changing my clutch and i'm not really sure at this moment...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Final drive options for the S54 + helpful spread sheet for people
I'll let you know how it goes, i had a 4.4 in my S13 and that combined with the gearbox ratios was a bit much that said it felt like having another 50-60bhp, I think I could settle for the 200rpm hike as its mainly B roads and town driving. PM me you email address and i'll ping it over

[Mk2] [NA] Final drive options for the S54 + helpful spread sheet for people
I've been thinking about changing my final drive ratio to get more acceleration as the car as it is is geared to 160mph+ which it will never get to nor would ever it ever spend much time over 70-80mph during normal use, ok the odd track day it will go faster (driver willing  ) but I doubt there...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Question about flywheels
I've found a flywheel being sold by a member on here and had already arranged to buy it when i realized it wasn't a n/a flywheel. On the upside by using the turbo pressure plate it might mean I get more clamping force (I'm not sure on that just hoping) I do agree with you though it is a very convolu...

[Mk2] [NA] Question about flywheels
Hi, does anyone know if a rev3 turbo lightened flywheel would fit a rev2 N/A import ?
From what I can find it looks like it might bolt up to the crank assuming its an 8 bolt flange, but I would have to use a turbo pressure plate and an N/A friction disk. Is this correct ?

Newbie to the club with a tale of joy and sorrow
hello all, just recently bought my MR2 and signed up on here. So far i'm loving it, its by far one of the best handling cars I've owned. Its a 1992 import tin top and amazingly it has no rust and apart from a few blemishes the paint is perfect so i think I've found a great start for a project. I bou...
