Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Head skim
Using a thicker headgasket is not a bodge. It's standard practice in the tuning game.

TCB are our first port of call. We've been in the game for 10years and no one even Toyota come close to their level of service.

A hoist for a cambelt?
Drop the entire engine/running gear/subframe?
Doing the cambelt is way over hyped!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] 3SGTE clutch options.
If you wanted something fruitier but for a little more wedge I'd recommend the Helix 6 puck. Definitely skim the flywheel before fitting.it isn't overly heavy so fine for traffic, rated over 400lbft iirc. The bite is similar to stock maybe a faction snappier.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] 3SGTE clutch options.
Clutchs are rated in torque. The stock or even most patents will hold 300lbft no problem. 1.2bar is fine. There are many variables to clutch wear so I wouldn't be so hasty to poo poo what is a good clutch! That said if I knew the car was going to get some abuse past just fast road I'd recommend some...

We have also had problems with Paul Sims. Usually people go out their way to please us as we can send an incredible amount of business their way. As I'm sure TCB will confirm. We ordered rear track arms, which were completely useless, a rocker cover gasket with splits in (who would sell a used gaske...

Whilst they are interchangeable some designs for the rev3 will foul the oil filter on a rev1/2

Yep. If you can hear water there is air. Bleed, and check for leaks. Air doesn't just 'get in there'.

Yeah that would b good. I have an mx and have been thinking is250 2.5v6. Don't think it's been done, could use the IS box too. Not silly power but more torque and a nice noise.

It doesn't cut spark John. It replicates the fuel feed and cuts fuel when necessary.

Re: Rev 4 caldina swap q?
Indeed all done! What a lovely car! A cosmos rev5 with a st215. Big thanks to Paul Woods for making the wiring loom whilst I was on holiday! Of course it started on the first attempt. We do though have a Rev limit at 6k rpm. It limits spark then trys to cut fuel. Unfortunately due to time constraint...
