Re: The Green Hornet
Just noticed that I haven't posted the picture showing the WHP figure, which I think also shows the boost curve. Will do that tonight.

Re: The Green Hornet
I took my db meter, but the fan they use to cool the car on the rollers was louder than the car.
It seems quieter outside the car with the Legalis on, but I took some of the sound deadening out, so inside it sounds as loud as before.

Forgot to add, the chargecooler was cool to touch through the whole mapping session without using the ice box

Re: The Green Hornet
Well, after a long day, Ryan has sorted a few niggles with the car (tacho fixed and it seems that some of my Ecu pins were loose). He has also done a sterling job remapping the car. Thanks to Ash for the guidance with the turbo choice. I know you put a lot of research into it in the past, and don't ...

Re: The Green Hornet
Gtx 3071 now fitted, surprisingly easy.... Get the exhaust next week, then remap on 17th. Hope to get a decent power curve for the track, will be happy with anything over 450hp and with the turbo spooled by 4k hopefully. Also want to try and make a bit more top end, so as to get a longer power band ...

Re: REV 1 GT - @ Back Home
I know they're a bit pricey, but have you looked at the Syvecs Toucan? Damn you Paul! Why did you have to show me this! :thumleft: I can see this being on my crimbo list! Cheers Craig Sorry  I was going to get one, but decided to take an alternative route, mainly due to features per £.

[All] [Generic] Bumper spraying in the south Midlands
Anyone know of a decent spray painter in the South Birmingham/Worcester area? I'm thinking about swapping my front bumper to a Border one. It would be in gel coat.

Sorry, my terminology may be wrong. I mean the outlet. 2.5" on GT35, 2" on GT30

Re: The Green Hornet
Looks like there are only two competitors in A1, or at least there were last season. What are their cars like? I saw a pic of the MR2 that won. Looks nice.
I have a few ideas that I probably will keep quiet, but mainly it's just going to be a(nother) stripped out tubby running lots of boost

Re: The Green Hornet
Received my GTX3071r from the states last week but wasn't around to do anything with it :( Took the GT35 off last night, came off pretty easily. Found that the turbine housing on the Gt30 is half an inch smaller than the 35, so ordered a new reducer. Also found the air filter was a bit battered, so ...

Re: The Green Hornet
Would be good to see you in the TSS! I'm hoping to compete in the Javelin Sprint Series next year which shares dates and venues :thumleft: Plus, there are a lot of Celica GT4s which need some decent competition ;) https://scontent-b-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpa1/t31.0-8/10608608_10100154600838321_2...

Re: The Green Hornet
Glad you're keeping the car fella. Tuned in for updates. :D Me too. I think I was having a low ebb because I was so busy at work! Didn't like having it sat in the garage never being used!! I'm actually a bit excited again about it, even though I'm going to land up with less power than I currently h...

Re: The Green Hornet
This is an extremely cool project. Any pics of the tablet/ monitor installed, showing logging like that is brilliant! :thumleft: Cheers :) I haven't had much time over the last few months to even look in the garage, let alone do anything else, but I will try and post some pictures of the tablet in ...

Re: The Green Hornet
Well. Having decided to keep the car, I have decided that I need to make it my own so that I appreciate it more. In short, the GT35 is too laggy for my needs, the redline is too low (~6500RPM) and the exhaust is too noisy. So, GTX3071R is clearing customs as I type, and Fujitsobo Legalis is ready an...

Re: rev 3 misfire on boost.
Have you got a fuel pressure regulator? I had a misfire on mine, mainly when warm, and it was due to the FPR bolt loosening off and dropping my base pressure. I think mine manifested as an 'only when warm' prblem, because my ECU was set to 'limp' when cold, so wouldn't actually let me put too much p...

Re: [All] [Generic] MOT & Interior
I think we may be thinking of different things, I'm only thinking of the small case fans. They might be too small to be honest though.

My seats adjust so am ok there. Are you serious about PC fans being too heavy? They hardly weigh anything?

Yes, needs a fan from what I have read, doesn't need to heat though .
Might try a bunch of PC fans
