Steel mist grey with graphite grey wheels West Orchards, Coventry 4/05

In parking spot number 1 as you come in off the up-ramp.

Looked very clean, didn't get a chance to snap it as cars were behind me and the missus can't see my obsession with taking pictures of other cars as healthy

Think it was an L or M reg, at about midday, 4th May.

Re: INKY on sunday...

Did I have a pi$$ed off look on my face? I'd been taking apart and re-assembling the heater unit, and getting very stressed out

What time, and what were you in? People beep a lot round here you get used to it, should have come back and poked me in the back, got my attention

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] The LED Fever continues - fog lights ... now heater, finally!

Couldn't believe how much trouble I went through just to replace those two bulbs Trevor ](*,) I've got some of that LED stuff left, you want me to send it in the post? I would have brought it round but the interior's been in bits for most of the day. Don't forget I owe you some cash  I've got...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] The LED Fever continues - fog lights ... now heater, finally!

I've put this off for far too long and no further excuses can be made, so I got down to doing the heater LED conversion ... oh dear, I dreaded this bit. :pale: But surprisingly it was quite simple IN THEORY ... but when soldering irons break down, LED legs drop off, and things refuse to stick in pla...

Good looking and modest eh?

Don't be surprised if only one headlight pops up, sometimes the passenger one sticks, so it'll look like I'm winking

Re: vinyl photoshop (pic inside)

Well .. it hasn't stopped raining all day and it's getting darker, so I had to just go ahead and do it while it was wet. Due to this, the edges won't fold round - too cold and damp. Also I couldn't get the washer jet out of the bonnet and had to just cut a mad hole to make it pop through so that loo...

Re: vinyl photoshop (pic inside)

Don't forget when it's in place, it'll be halfway (roughly) between the headlamp lid and the bonnet edge at the top, so going any bigger might look wrong.

It's all trial and error so far, see what tomorrow brings :thumleft:

Re: vinyl photoshop (pic inside)

Yeah the red car (or blue in my case) would be the sun, white would be rays. In your case I would just remove the opposite parts on the vinyl before I put the carrier sheet over it. Plus I'd need black vinyl maybe satin or matt effect? Can't trade as I'm not an affiliate (yet) and I haven't got the ...

Re: vinyl photoshop (pic inside)

Had a spare 15 mins so had a pop at this. Made the design in illustrator. Ran it to vinyl, cut out and done. The cut-out, without carrier sheet (other guy does that tomorrow) http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i78/deadlyrs125/sheet.jpg The donor car - would look better in red, so you get the Jap flag...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] The LED Fever continues - fog lights ... now heater, finally!

I don't think it'll matter too much, LEDs don't use much current do they? And all my added LEDs are only on for a few seconds when the doors are opened and closed so not much of a drain there :thumleft:

Next ... engine bay! Maybe.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] The LED Fever continues - fog lights ... now heater, finally!

More LED madness today ... I had a bit of spare time in between exercising the dog so had a chop around inside the car. Door pocket LEDs are now gone, but I used the feed wire to power some 60cm slimline sticky backed LED strips that were ordered by Trevor (BLZ) from China when he got himself some (...

Re: vinyl photoshop (pic inside)

Just re-read your original post, saw you wanted a satin type look. All I have is a roll of gloss black, or aluminium style, or white which is a bit boring.

Anyway have a look at the sizes and will see if I can load up photoshop and have a go at some cutouts.

Ah yeah, the air scoop I forgot that. Plus he's got silver mesh showing, think it was the side vents. Kept trying to get a pic but bloody phone keypad wouldn't unlock in time #-o
