Just had a quick look and genuine bushes come in at a surprisingly reasonable $20, the powerflex black are about $65 with shipping.
Although that's the least of my worries my rack and power steering motor are in a right state ><

[Mk2] [Generic] Steering rack bushes
Currently got the steering rack removed for a rebuild and the old rubber bushes are pretty tired, anyone replaced these with polybushes, is it even worth it?
I've yet to price up replacement toyota bushes but powerflex offer replacement purple and black variants although a little $$.

Re: Help! Boost issues.
That sensor/plug in the first pic is the inlet air temp sensor although i'm not sure how much of an impact its feedback has on the engine management.
Without that actuator hose off yeah you would of had an air leak plus zero boost control.

I'd trace that red hose back to be sure you're not drawing in air through it.

Ah engine out... not that i've done it on a 3SGTE before but if you're happy to remove the sump then place block of wood between the block and crankshaft counter weight (or whatever you want to call it) then use breaker bar + scaffy bar if required....

Re: Safest way to lock engine to remove bottom pulley.
Impact driver?? On a crank shaft? You do realise there are conrods attached to the crank and that these have journal bearings... the bearing surface doesnt take kindly to repetative radial force of the kind caused by impact guns. The above method is used (with minor alterations and special tools) b...

http://i.imgur.com/HdxIvVl.jpg Here.. There should be a clear hose in the frunk. if not washer hose works. What's the deal with that valve on the heater circuit, on my Rev3 I have hot/cold control from within the cable yet that valve never changes postion, there is a cable connected to it but the o...

Have you got 3 or 4 connectors there? looks like 3 in the picture but i've got 4 on my Rev 3 one of which not connected to anything.

Alternatively hammer a socket on it and then undo, drop a size on a multipoint socket should go on fairly easily with some persuasion.

Just to add the lower part of the panel has two retainers that are just a push fit into a metal tab, should come out easy enough.

That motor looks sweet.
He could do with some more pictures though or at least a link to an online album not a single interior shot.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] KO Racing R1 exhaust fitment issue
Is the bung too big or too small? They should be a pretty tight fit otherwise they rattle a out and don't do a very good job. Physically too big, was over 1.5mm too large. I've spoken to Kris at KO racing about it and going to see what he says, i'm happy to dress the end of the insert in order to g...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] KO Racing R1 exhaust fitment issue
Got the spacer flange fitted now and should be all good. Very annoying though considering what this exhaust cost and having another look at it the problem is with the KO exhaust. The muffler section was hard against the rear beam and if anything needed to move rearward (given all the space on the ot...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Headgasket replacement - any other mods/work to consider whilst head off
Hose from hell and hose from hell on earth new to mr2s so had to google. these easier to do with head off ? Most definitely. The issue is the exhaust downpipe and manifold preventing access to the hoses but obviously with a headgasket replacement these would already be removed so it's an easy job.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] 1/8" NPT fittings
Yeah Dan so your suggestion about the fitting being BSP(T) based on my measurements was correct! Picked up a BSPT fitting and fits perfect, I was under the impression the MAC solenoid, compressor housing outlet fitting and inlet manifold bung were all NPT but it appears they were all in fact BSPT.

Given that the part numbers are different I doubt it as they are a different part. Were Turbo mounts not available? Try pricing parts on here https://www.amayama.com/en can be much cheaper than direct from Toyota. Guy on this thread http://www.mr2oc.com/62-common-engine-swaps-related-discussions/643...

Just found mine, looks like it is epoxied into the stainless housing no chance of getting that out. Well not without running the risk of destroying it anyway.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Chargecooler temp sensor
I've got a couple of them here, they are alot smaller as they use thermistors which impacts on the accuracy of the unit but for what you want (a visual indication of cooling efficiency it would be fine. Just trying to find mine now to see how easy it is to remove the steel cap. However after a quick...

Dual thermocouple pre/post chargecooler. You will need to buy some longer thermocouples though so you can route it into your cab. http://www.banggood.com/GM1312-Digital-Thermometer-Dual-channel-LCD-Display-Temperature-Meter-Tester-for-KJTERSN-Thermocouple-p-997968.html?rmmds=search This single one a...
