Sounds like the air filter is sucking hot air from under the engine lid and the fan isnt strong enough on the IC.

I like the idea of one with a 3.0 V6 in it - certainly an incredibly tempting project! Just need some more workspace

Re: Oil Pressure Gauge - Max reading?
Idle is 2 bar (28psi), cold start 6 bar (88psi), on circuit when warm about 6 bar (88psi). If you rev her from cold, it can go as high as 9 bar though!

Re: TOTB V - Hour Long Video!
what was the top speed of the said mr2? Nick managed a whopping 161.1mph. See the results thread in the "Past Events" section for all of the results. Patrick Well, indeed, it does make you wonder why they bother running anything other than the 1/4! I think maybe its time I took myself alo...

Re: TOTB 1/4 mile times?
I must admit that on day I only did one 1/4 run and that was only cus Michael made me do it - I didnt really give a toss what my time was, and it only served to remind me what I dislike so much about drag racing :) Having said that I am curious to see my result now, although Mike thinks we both ran ...

Re: TOTB - Feedback Please
Mr Canny did a superb job - as ever :) Queueing during the day was ridiculous, 1hr per run for the handling circuit. Not sure what could be done about it, I guess they either limit the event to less cars or start the event earlier, say 9am till 4pm? Two days would definitely work, maybe even spread ...

Re: TOTB V - Photos (inc timing boards)
....Congratulations to Jonno for getting up there in 7th place - that's very good going against specials like Westerfields and Dax Rushes - the only 'road' cars quicker were Dodge Vipers (!) Thanks Ben, for once the car ran perfectly all day. If only the handling circuit queues were shorter I think...

Re: Who made up the IMOC TOTB team???
I too have struggled with the forum community over the last year - sometimes it seems like a pack of pirhana, just waiting to pull apart everything and anything you have worked so hard to understand or achieve. I am putting a huge amount of this down to the massive influx of new members since the MR...

Re: Event Photos sub-Forum
Good idead - it would also be nice to be able to upload the pictures you took into a shared area for each event, that way everyone knows where to find stuff. There are quite a few gallery type programs kicking around that could be adapted, but I suspect the big problem will be down to space on the w...

Im not going either - got to get the car ready for TOTB next weekend, still need to put the turbo back on, finish the chargecooler mods, finish moving my drivers seat brackets, check the n/s driveshaft coupling and then test to see if turbodynamics have fixed the turbo oilseals :) Probably not be fi...

I suspect that no matter how well prepared everyone is, something will explode, get stuck, get lost, leak, break or go flat. Once that happens its the support of everyone else that makes the day
Cant wait!

Re: st205 or intercooler?
Agree with jonno, its all about heat transfer, which at the end of the day is very difficult because of the limited airflow through the engine bay (and hence the IC) of a mid engined car, better to transfer that heat to the front and let the nice cool flow of air do the cooling. And dont underestim...

Re: On going idle problem + been to 3 garages now!!
have you actually tried adjusting the idle screw under the throttle body? Its a 2.5mm grub screw with a 6mm nut locking it in place - I have seen quite a few that are loose, so it could easily have moved. Worth 15 minutes to avoid another trip to a garage!? Its just underneath the throttle cable pul...

For £200 cash you can have my Blitz 850cc injectors and rev3 fuel rail - I was going to get them cleaned and balanced and re-use them, but I picked up a branch new wolfkatz rail instead so my Blitz ones are going begging
