Re: FILES & POSTING PICTURES

Tony, this site was put together through blood, sweat and tears due to the early demise of the old site.

Things will be happening, but at the moment we all just wanted to get something up and running, so features and detail stuff have been left out of the site at the moment.

Re: Dump Valves

The general idea is that because a turbo is positioned before the throttle body, when you lift off to change gear/decellerate the throttle obviously closes, but the turbo is still spinning. The effect of a closed throttle will effectively stall the turbo, so a 'dump' or 'blow off valve' (same thing)...

Re: Hi Lauren

No probs.

Let us know if you are interested in buying the SC engine and stuff. The pics are actually of what will be for sale. They were taken last year when we did a re-shell of my earlier car. All my stuff was via Fensport.

Re: MK1 1.6 N/A Upgrade...

GZE engines are expensive because they are rare. I have a complete conversion for sale which is a late spec Levin engine (it is stronger better torque than MR2SC engines plus its slightly newer too). Have everything you need including hard pipes for intercooling and original SC engine lid and interc...

Re: Evening all :)

I like it, but think that the blue clashes with the pink.

is there a way of changing the blue header to match? Its just the OC is a very similar shade of blue and we wouldn't want people to get confused.

Re: Mondello Trackday anyone ?

Ben,

it might be an idea to move this to the 'motorsport' section seeing as its a trackday.

Mondello looks to be a fab circuit so and yes i would like to go.

Re: Mk1 Driveshafts - compatible with mk3?

I am running a FWD Levin shaft on one side (the N/side) and an SC driveshaft on the o/side.

I tried quite a few different configurations of turbo shafts but they did not give the correct length.

I was supposed to be using the Levin driveshafts but the o/side one was 20mm too long.

A section for trackdays and racing?

What with all the hassles of trying to push trackdays (and believe me they seem to take a lot of pushing) I think it would be a good idea to have a trackday/motorsport section, particularly so with the MR2 Challenge gaining momentum next year. I think it is important to try and keep the profile of t...

Re: Mk1 Driveshafts - compatible with mk3?

Are you sure Ben? Its just i've been there with my SC and used both NA and SC gearboxes. The NA driveshaft has a much smaller spline ie it is smaller in diameter than the the driveshaft that goes with the SC box which is the same diameter as the turbo. I would guess that they don't Patrick, though i...
