Re: Sills and radiator advice needed for newcomer
Nice looking MK1, only just got the chance to have a look at your piccies. The T-bar seals look like they've seen better days though. T-bar seals can be bought from Toyota still of www.kbox.ca not sure which is cheaper at the moment. There's a good write up here http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopi...

The garage is a weird tack on to the forum that makes it extremely difficuly to migrate if we want to keep it.
Personally I think ditch the garage and just take the main, easily moved content, onto a more up to date system.
I don't know what else might be lost.

Damn fine finish there Paul.
I was lucky with mine and found a T-bar with a good roof I could chop out.

Re: IGNITION LEADS RECCOMENDATION UK REV5 N/A PLEASE
I have KV85s (Red Magnecors) on the ST202, they've been on it for a couple of years now and no serious issues. Only niggle is the king lead is a little short for my liking, a bit more slack would be nice. Oh and don't use them with Champion plugs, they clip on EXTREMELY well and are a PITA to get of...

You must need to be pretty accurate with the cut into the roof Paul, how do you get that marked up to retain the curvature of the front edge?

May be worth changing the seal on the slave cylinder piston while the system is drained.
Did the UJ stay free of clutch fluid?

Matt/Satin Black Mk2 in Gosport
Spotted on Gordon rd at lunch time today, I was in the noisy black Celica.
Was it anyone on here? Didn't see any club type stickers.

Re: Lost Clutch Hydraulics
1st check for me would be the slave cylinder seals, pop the boot back and if it's leaking it will be pretty obvious. Master cylinder you'd most likely be able to smell it as they tend to drip onto the base of the steering column under the clutch pedal. If it's the Master cylinder check and clean the...

Re: Running rich after new exhaust install
Was any work done in the engine bay at the time? 1st thing I'd check would be that all the sensors are still plugged in, I've had similar when I forgot to plug the air temp sensor back in.
Run a diagnostic check while you're at it.

Re: Mongoose exhaust? Bearable daily?
The Mongoose on the Mk1 is very civilised, one of my favourite of all the exhausts I've owned.
It does make a bit of noise when you get the revs up but nothing too raucous.

Re: Advice needed: Bedding new pads and rotors
I've been using EBCs on my Celicas since I've owned them, blacks on the 182 and yellows on the 202. The latter of the two on track. While there are def better pads out there I've not had any issues with the EBCs when combined with stock disks, personally I think they're very good for the price. As t...

Tempted to do the same. It's not as bad from Gosport but still pretty dire unless you leave at silly o'clock.
Where are you booked in?
