Re: Luke's weekly helpful hint
Good thinking! I need to take my door cards off again soon so I'm going to try this.

It's round 1 of the UKD1 drifting championship at Snetterton on Sunday. Anyone interested in this?

Re: Running cold at speed - last problem 2 post, honest.
I had this exact same problem and it was a faulty thermostat. £30 for a new one from Toyota and all was well.

Good to meet ya' Fella!
Cheers Matt!
I'm glad I made the effort to get up to Norwich and I'm sure I'll be seeing you all again at a future meet!

Re: Reverse Lights not working
I had the same thing on my car just after I bought it. Mentioned it to the mechanic when I took it in for a service and he fixed it by replacing the switch in the gearbox. I'm pretty sure that's your problem, and I suspect if you can get a new reverse light switch from Toyota then you could replace ...

Re: east anglia cambridge area
My rims? They're Mille Miglia EV-S, 17x7 at the front, 17x8 at the back. I paid £960 including tyres from Demon Tweeks.

Re: east anglia cambridge area
I live just outside Cambridge. I'm not aware of any meets in the area. Maybe we'll have to set one up

Re: Locking wheel nuts
I'm using a set of McGard nuts from Demon Tweeks. Haven't got anything else to compare them to but they look pretty secure and they're Thatcham approved.

I'll second that. Well, they did get my order wrong first time but were very quick in sorting it out, and the plates look great.

Re: Help Me Decide! £700 Budget On Rims! What to do?
Fizz, I'm in a similar position. Looking to spend upto £600 on rims, then probably about £400 on tyres. I really want 7x17" fronts and 8x17" rears but they're almost impossible to find. I've been quoted £375 per wheel for some Japanese rims!
Be interested to hear if you find anything!

Re: Nearly lost a wheel!
Thanks Grajey, that sounds like a possibility. The previous owner had put the wrong size tyres on (205 all round) so I wouldn't be surprised if the wheels don't fit right either.
I was planning to change the wheels soon - if only the studs couldn't have lasted a few more weeks...

Nearly lost a wheel!
I've been noticing a slight knocking/scraping sort of noise from the back of the car for a little while now. I thought it was maybe a wheel bearing or a suspension component. It's booked in for a service next Tuesday so I thought I'd find out what the problem was then. Well, coming home from work la...
