Took the drive shaft off. Engine doesn't move anymore.
All engine mounts look good. Can't move the engine at all either.

[Mk2] [Turbo] HELP: on/off throttle engine vibrating massively. Cv joint/gearbox? I don't know
Hi all, 1996 MR2 Turbo. Gearbox: E153-735 Hoping someone can shed some light. The car is back on the road and the only thin I've touched in the drive line is the inner CV boot on the passenger side. It was driving fine yesterday and I booted it away from a standstill. After this whenever I lifted of...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Over boosting after turbo rebuild
I've had a TT hybrid turbo for years now. Never experienced boost creep. Current setup is: Hybrid TT Turbo ARC intake Greddy Intercooler (genuine one) Aussie downpipe and old mongoose 3'' exhaust. HOWEVER: I do have an AVCR installed and it changes all the way through the rev range and learns each g...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Strange banging/knocking noise from the back
Hi All, Wondering if anyone has any hints/tips on how to check the following. On the last trip back from LeMans as I got off the Ferry I noticed a loud bang as I went over a bump. After that when I go over any significant bumps there is a loud bang from the left read of the car. I notice before I we...

Re: not feeling as fast as it should??
To sentiment someone elses thread above my turbo was a bit lack lustre and I got another BOV that I was re-furbishing. After I got the car back from having some work done I changed the bov over and WOW, what a difference. The HKS SSQV I had was literally destroyed inside, however from the outside it...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Need help - Intercooler fan
Hey Peter, Thanks for your help. Long and short of the story is today is the first time I have been able to look at the car since yesterday. Investigation carried out so far: Find black box in boot and check connections - only to find black box isn't there (found in the boot 30 seconds later). Plugg...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Need help - Intercooler fan
Hey Peter,
Thanks for that.
Yes I did use an additional relay for the Rogue fans.
Where abouts is the control box in the boot?
Where is the fan relay do you know, are these also likely suspects?
Thanks
Phil

[Mk2] [Turbo] Need help - Intercooler fan
Ok - my intercooler fan's not working. Long story but upshot of it is that it's not working at all now. I do have my rogue fans actuated by the intercooler fan but even with these disconnected the intercooler fan is not running. I have disconnected the engine lid temp sensor so that the circuit is o...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] smokey under heavy acceleration
All turbos run rich as standard to save the engine, when you see the smoke is it when you change gear and are right at the redline or is it constant?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] stuck at first hurdle lowering car
If I remember correctly from changing my suspension over, there are clips that hold the brake lines to the struts. Bare in mind that they have been there for circa 20 years so they will take a bit of patience to get off.
Edit: Grammar was appalling.

Re: Alloy radiators - what's the quality like?
I have a mishimoto one which I fitted last year - the engine is a lot cooler now, however the stock fans don't line up correctly onto it (presumably so you buy their kit) however a bit of work with a hacksaw and you can extend two of the brackets enough to make the stock fans fit. Otherwise a qualit...

Re: Straightening a buckled alloy wheel?...
Most alloy wheels can be repaired. Pointless buying new wheels etc when you can get the old repaired for less than a single new wheel. Ring wheels in motion and speak to them.

Re: Straightening a buckled alloy wheel?...
why not put one steel on and rescue the alloy? out of balance doesn't mean it's the alloy - ask a wheel place to check it without the tyre.

Re: Straightening a buckled alloy wheel?...
Ring up wheels in motion (black circles) and take some photos for them - you're better off getting the tyre off so that they can see it better. Best thing to do is pop off to local tyre place and ask them to take the tyre off (presuming you're not using it) and ask them to put it on their balancing ...
