Changed the coolant
Changed the coolant over the weekend ( replaced the water with coolant) & all went well. Followed the BGB. Took it for a spin & the needle never went above the vertical position. I noticed that when I put the heater on full to HOT, there is very little heat. Could there still be sone kind of...

Shock replacement
Im replacing the shocks on the front of my mk1a at the weekend & have 2 questions. The large nut that currently holds the shock into the strut (the one visible thru the spring) is not screwed fully down but has 3 or 4 threads visible. Is that correct?. Should I try & screw the new one full...

Re: MK1A Doorcard renewal
I'm in Ireland so getting cards from a MK1A would be near impossible as not many were sold here. Postage from the UK wouldn't be worth it. I have a spare set from a MK1B which I can use if I can't repair it.
Thanks,
Tim

MK1A Doorcard renewal
:?: I need to replace the leatherette at the top of the doorcard on my MK1A as it is split just where you rest your elbow. I removed the doorcard last night to have a look. The top of the door is easy to do as the leatherette can be wrapped over the top but lower down where the cloth type material j...

Which coolant & how much do I need
Just noticed that there seems to be only water in the coolant system in my MK1a so I need to replace it with coolant. Shound I use the Toyota Forlife coolant or are there other products just as good. Also how much do I require - I think I read sometime that it takes about 12 litres but I could be wr...

Some advice needed
I recently bought an MR2 mk1a which is in quite good condition but needs a little work & a few bits & pieces. I have come across(but not seen) a spares car for sale, which the guy will deliver, but its a later MK1b. I have enough junk around the place but am wondering if its worth buying. ...
