I know the belts are different between rev 2 and 3s but are the tensioners and bearings different? Basically I have a rev 3 but I can get a Rev 2 kit for dirt cheap and just by a Rev3 belt?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Silly cheap Intercooler kits?
There fine. Anything is better than stock! If you look around, alot of sellers (EMS/KO etc) in US use ebay cores and just manufacture better pipes. Just make sure the pipes fit ok to avoid boost leaks. Often two of the small pipes you get with the kit are cast rather than ally and are a smaller diam...

Might be a bit late now but I use these

You can get cheaper ones on ebay that are just as good. Work nicely on damaged nuts.

Re: [All] [Generic] enkei alloy wheel info needed?!
Ive got very similar enkei rims and I refurbed them a few years ago. There just a simple 2 piece design so easy to take apart and put back together. For the nuts I went to Screw fix and ordered a box of nyloc nuts and washers (take a bolt with you as I cannot remember the size). These are perfect an...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev 3 Starting/Idle Problems
Coil looks fine. Replaced it about 3k miles ago. When the coil went faulty last time I started to get random misfires and then It would not start at all. There is no misfires at all, just struggling to fire/idle. Im thinking it may be the idle air has blocked open/closed or maybe knackered TPS? Only...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Rev 3 Starting/Idle Problems
Hope someone can help here. My Rev 3 turbo has been running absolutley fine until I left it for 2 weeks without starting. It always starts on the key and idle is approx 1600 and then drops to 1k as engine warms. Anyway went to start yesterday and it would not turnover on the key. If I revved it it w...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] MR2 Turbo gear box and diff oil????
Only real way to tell is to pull drive shaft and look in. If you see a bar across the middle it's a stock LSD. I would just assume it is and change box oil

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] MR2 Turbo gear box and diff oil????
if its stock lsd, its self lubricating and the oil cannot be changed.
The box oil is a good quality 75w 90. Everyone will tell you to get redline mt90. I personally have never seen any benefits of redline over any other reasonable brand.

[Mk2] [Turbo] Bodykit recommendations?
Right, Ive got a white Rev 3 hardtop and I think at some point its come of some jacks as there are dents in the rear outer sills. They are not corroded, just dented. I always wanted to get them sorted but today I managed to aquire some genuine bomex sideskirts for a good price. Anyway, I always said...

Re: Upgrading the bushes
I bought mine from s bits. Bout £100 for all of them. They do make a noticable difference, make the car feel tighter. The problem you will have when fitting them is getting the old ones out. Lots of people say burn them out. I used an electric drill with a core cutter to remove them. Its not that di...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] DIY Intake
funnily enough Im still deciding on this. At the moment I drilled a small hole in the bottom of the heat shield and attached it in a highly technical way(tie wrap 8-[ ). I did a bit more work that I havent listed as it was difficult to picture. I basically took the air feed off the resonator box, cu...

[Mk2] [Turbo] DIY Intake
Was looking at some of the intakes available for the MR2 (mainly in the states) and found them to be quite expensive for what they were, so I thought Id have a go myself and do a bit of a walkthrough for anyone who wanted to do the same. I have completed this using no specialist techniques like weld...
