Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Hesitation/Bucking at 3k when warm

I had a similar thing happen turned out to be a crack in the coil, worth checking if the fuel doesn't sort it.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Howto: Polybush your MK2

Ok for anyone using Super Pro Urethane bushes here is the reply I got from their suport team regarding the washer on the forward side of the inner rear bush. "We believe the washer is not required with our kit. However to confirm I would measure the length of the OE crush tube and compare it to...

[Mk2] [Turbo] E153 Syncors

I've been told by a Toyota tech that the syncros in a E153 box glaze and more often than not don't need to be replaced just cleaned up with lapping paste. I have one of my boxes apart and I'm about to try this, anyone done it before?

Hey Steve I'm after the same thing but not found anything other that Dino's. I'm after track preferred caster particularly but nothing, I think Dino’s setting just show stock caster from what I remember.

[Mk2] [Generic] Front Caster

Setting a car up for mostly track use is it worth adjusting the front caster?

If so should I go with Tein rods or bushes?

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Howto: Polybush your MK2

All the bushes should be the same dia sleeves internally as it's the original bolts you use. From what I remember it's easy to mix up the front and rear bushes that run from the arms down to the balljoints. I know I did :eye:[/quote] Thanks Uglee Its the external dia of the crush tube thats smaller,...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Howto: Polybush your MK2

OK I’m just in the Middle of fitting Super Pro bushes throughout and have a couple of questions regarding the bush on the inside of the rear arm that goes from the ball joint to the sub frame. Firstly does the original bush have an outer metal sleeve like the front (if it does it’s a very neat fit a...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Catch Can Confusion

Well I want a catch can for two reasons.
1. don't want warm gasses going back into the engine
2. the inlet pipes are coated with soot from the oil vapourand I don't want that either

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Catch Can Confusion

You see my problem? No one seems to really know for sure. The PCV valve (positive crankcase ventilation valve), as I understand it, opens when there is a vacuum applied from the inlet. In which case if you plumb it into a catch can with a filter it will never open as you have lost the vacuum supply....

[Mk2] [Turbo] Catch Can Confusion

Ok so I have been doing some research and not coming up with a definitive answer as to how best to fit a catch can. I’m running a 1996 Gen3 Turbo as an occasional road car and race car and the air intake to the turbo has become very sooty so I think fitting a catch can will be a good move. So after ...
