Re: 4AGE Tuning

Sounds like a good time for me to give my 2 pence. I've come to work this morning in my 4-age mk1, now it's still a great little engine and tuned would be fantastic, but having spent the last 3 weeks driving 1000 miles in my new 2zz engined car I can say the 2zz is everything I want and more! It's a...

Re: MR2 as daily hack exeeding limited ins milage dilema

How long are you going to be doing this job for.

Buy a little diesel or LPG car and it'll pay for itself in 3 years. as you'll be using half the fuel.

Re: carrying a bmx on my mr2

Before I found you could get a tow bar I drew up these plans for a two bike carrier using thule 590 carriers, Didn't like the fact you wouldn't be able to get in the boot though. http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6063/6024603323_4ac0266580.jpg You'd have to modify the spolier to have to tubes running t...

Re: rear caliper removal

There's only one bolt the top mount just slides on. Make sure you remove the handbrake cable first.
Remove the bottom bolt
pivot the caliper up so it's clear of the disk
push the caliper away from you (slowly)

Matt what's the DOT code (date) on those tyres?

You're running 15s?
Good new tyres don't have to be expensive

Re: My first Mr2

Gald you're enjoying her, Any luck with the pinking on the 306? My old car came lowered, I found it introduced understeer as the weight wasn't moving forward during braking, I ended up going back to stockt. Best thing to do is to just put on the best tyres you can, on 14s Toyo T1Rs are good, but if ...

Or might break the old one to recover poly bushes, exhaust and new brake callipers, then get rid of everything else and see if I can raise my...
