Hi I have fitted a front bearing on a rev one which was'nt adjustable i don't think they are adjustable on any rev.anyway to the point it may be worth checking the nut on the end of the axle first as the one on my sons turbo had some play in it so i bought the bearing to do the job and found the nut...

fans stay on+window won't work
can someone help me out my sons mk 2 rev 1 gt turbo's radiator fans stay on all the time when the ignition is on.also the passenger window won't work which are the fuses and relays for them.i have looked for them but am not sure where they are.any help appreciated regards steve

I'm in the process of rebuilding my engine and have found some play in the turbo shaft so i guess it needs rebuilding.there's no oil leaks.Its a ct26b What i need to know is what's best to do should i rebuild it or source a ct20 which is the best for my car i don't want to tune the engine to keep it...

Hi if you do eventually sort the problem i would be interested to know what to do as i have the same problem.my turbo is in lots of bits at the moment as i am rebuilding it so mine won't be on the road for a while.thanks in advance steve

Hi i can let you know how much they cost £5 79p each + vat as i have just been quoted for a set from toyota.there is a shop on ebay who sells them for £10 per set but can't remember the name.they must be a copy though.what the manual says is right according to toyota if you can get them to the right...

Hi if your tyre on the rear looks as if it is to wide (rounded)it may be that 235/40/17 as far i can find out should be fitted to 7.5 inch wide rims so check to see if your rims are 7 or 7.5 inch rims.but to be sure ring a tyre and wheel supplier to be sure .hope this helps.

please can anyone give me some advice on rear tyres for mr2 turbo the size on the car at the moment is 215/40/17 avon ZZ3. these didn't last very long so i am after something better wearing at sensible money.

valve lifter dia mr2 turbo
Hi can anyone confirm the dia of the valve lifter (buckets)in the cylinder head on an mr2 turbo mk 2 rev one. the manual it says the dia is 27.975 to 27.985. I have just measured mine and they are 31 mm dia.Does this mean the head is off a different revision. thanks in advance Steve.

hi just a quick word regarding your bearings before you buy any bits it may be worth checking that its not the bottom ball joints that are knackered i had a similar problem and thought it was bearings but on further investigation found the ball joints were the problem.just a thought.

Hi just did my sons belt.take off the two pipes to the intercooler then undo the three bolts holding the intercooler fan and pull it up out of the way be careful of the wireing you can then get a 14mm ring spanner on the nut in the centre of the tensioner wheel slacken this off enough so you can tur...

over the weekend i replaced trackrod bottom ball joint and a wheel bearing. earlier i cleaned up the calipers and regreased the sliders then went for a drive the brakes are fine now.thanks for all the advice at least that gets my son off my back now he's got his car back.once again thanks to all. took brakes off last night and removed friction plates etc whilst under the car have found the track rod on the rack and a wheel bearing are shot so am waiting for replacements which i will fit at the weekend then will let you know if the brakes are better or not.thanks for the help.steve

Just bled the brakes completely renewed all the fluid 1ltr approx brake pedal still is fine for a while then goes down a long way.discs seem to be ok no run out etc.any ideas ???? Regards Steve
