Re: overheating at low speed saga :(
Have you changed the thermostat yet? If not do it. With the front pipes cold this may mean that the engine is running up to temperature but the thermostat is stuck closed thus not allowing hot coolant to circulate around the pipes to the radiator, hence why the pipes are cold. This is a very cheap f...

Re: overheating at low speed saga :(
I replaced every coolant pipe, water pump, thermostat, coolant, you name it to solve my issue. Its usually something really simple. When the car is warm give the rubber coolant pipe a squeeze and make sure its firm. If its not then its losing pressure from somewhere so check all connections are tigh...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Engine light flicking on and off
Yeah the speedo is fine as far as I can tell. The exhaust does sound as though its blowing a tiny bit so not sure if this could be a factor?
Ive never bridged the connections so its not that.
So its the engine light and not the led thats used to flash the fault codes then?

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Engine light flicking on and off
Thanks, just checked everything and it all looks fine. However now there does seem to be a pattern to it. It flicks on and off 4 times then theres a break for a second and then 2 more flashes. Not sure if its flashing a fault code? I thought that was done via the red led security light? I may be bei...

[Mk2] [Generic] Engine light flicking on and off
This needs a bit of background story as its mistifying me. A couple of weeks ago i noticed a knocking sound that got progressivly worse until the car was pretty much undrivable. It caused the weld on the exhaust hook to break. Anywhoo took it to my garage and it turned out to be an engine mount at t...

Re: TDU 2 - oh dear...
yeah it was one of the first proper open world racers and the car selection was huge! Suprised after such along gap between sequels they havent improved it to gt5ish standards. That would be awesome! How many players can go online at once?

[Mk2] [NA] topping up manual gearbox oil
Can someone tell me where the top up point is on the gearbox for oil? Is it the same as the drain point? I need to stick some gearbox treatment in there to hopefully prolong my noisy gearbox for a few more miles and dont want a driveway full of oil when I take it off. Any help gratefuly appreciated ...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Electric Windows not working

All the other switches on the panel such as door lock, and mirror adjuste...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Electric Windows not working
Still having a major headache with these windows, I think I must have a different type of switch, the switch feels like its going to snap. Is there any other easier way of getting the buggers out? cheers
