Re: TOM'S T020.... The real thing....

Well I hadn't really thought about selling but I guess if someone came along with a wad of fifties I'd have to think about it.

Haven't seen the Advox stuff around... looks cool though!

Re: TOM'S T020.... The real thing....

Don't put pink wheels on it! makes it look desperate and not badass like it really is.... There is no denying that Tom's gear is super high quality... check out this unused T020 adjustable top mount set I picked up last year. Looks good in the pics but you should see them first hand - can't bring my...

Re: TOM'S T020.... The real thing....

I have seen a T020 car here in Ireland, the owner has documents and certificates that came with it from Japan although I'm not sure that it had all of the options you've incorporated in to your build. There's a lot of rare parts there and it's great to see someone take the time and put them all back...

Yes, Tom's do step out like that. It looks a lot less conspicuous when it's a matching colour with the car. I like it, sort of gives a widebody type of look.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] clutch judder

This can be corrected guys, replace the puck disc for a street disc, job done. James Hi James, can you recommend a street disc that would be useable with 390 ft/lbs of torque? I have a Clutchmasters stage 4 which handles the power no problem and is super to drive with outside of a car park, but is ...

It's actually beyond just a 'base map'. They take a total of about 10 minutes to install, then 30 minute 'idle learn' procedure and you're good to go :thumleft: With your level of mods you are not at high risk and could make your way over for dyno tuning to tap in to some latent power at your own le...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Recommend me a clutch

Noob question for you twin plate guys. Is there any 'special procedure' for driving off at the lights? I have an FX400 single plate and currently my 'special procedure' is: 1. Let the car in front start driving off a bit 2. Rev to 1,500rpm or above 3. Release the clutch smoothly and quickly, do not ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] more torque??

V6 conversion +1 the man wants 'no lag' V6 would be his best option. Another way to do it would be to fit a supercharger, however given the amount of successful V6 conversions going around then that would be a more easier route. There is of course the old saying: "If you're suffering from lag,...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] power fc

The SW20 PFC has a boost controller built in that you can set to whatever boost level you want straight from the handcontroller. You can change maps but that requires laptop/fc datalogit to do so, it's not an 'in cabin' switch to flick. However... You're running a V6 turbo? My understanding is that ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Power FC - cold start

Just to update I have a lead on this. A friend of mine has a PFC on his sw20 and his cold start works fine. His VTA (TPS) reading is .45v at idle and the IDL light on the sensor check is out. On mine it is .89v and even trying to adjust the TPS I can't get the IDL light to go out which means that th...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Power FC - cold start

didn't get to do this yet... it's just too cold outside! I have a new theory though, I wonder if my TPS is adjusted incorrectly after reading this thread: http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=91759&highlight=vta When I look at my PFC handheld it has a black dot next to IDLE and despite i...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rear arm - Tracking rod

Thanks guys, I think I've found a set. Will come back to you if that falls through.

I think it might have been bent for a previous (dodgy) wheel alignment - ie. the threads are so stuck they just bent the bar to get the adjustment they required - won't be going there again!

[Mk2] [Turbo] Rear arm - Tracking rod

I have searched (both in here and on Google) and I can not find any kind of aftermarket upgraded version of the rear suspension arm that is used for adjusting toe.... http://mr2.ie/mr2/misc/toerod.jpg Toyota is a touch on the expensive side.. both of mine are rusted shut and one of them is bent... :...

Looks pretty good as it is TBH. Border bumper is the dogs imo, however it's just that little bit long for steep driveways...

I'd leave it how it is mate and put the dosh in to a different toy.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Power FC - cold start

Ok, last night I started up the 2. Unfortunately still no cold start idle up, but the idle is working very nicely when the car is warm and it has improved it no end in driveability to have done the reset. I have the manual bypass screw adjusted way out which means it should idle high but the PFC has...
