Re: REV 3 TUBBY vs SL55 AMG
Correct and I couldn't care less. I bought my car as a budget sportscar, not a dragster. If I could afford it I would buy an Elise. I am sure the Mk2 turbo handles brilliantly and would be great round a track. And before anyone comments that I am a hypocrit because I am uprating my engine, I am only...

I hope to get the white one to Cadwell this summer Dave please let me know if you book a trackday as I will try and book the same one. Will you be going with BaT or someone else? And could I be cheeky and ask to be a passenger for a few laps? I have a totally standard SC (well standard apart from i...

Re: 4AGE with 4AGZE pistons
He's got a Mk2, what's he up to! I'm intrigued now. I know about fitting a 3S-GTE turbo engine into a Mk1, never heard of replacing a 3S-GTE turbo unit with a 4AGZE in a Mk.2. Unless he's building a twincharger :D If a Mk1 with a 3S-GTE is called a Mk1.5, perhaps this can be called a Mk5.1! Come on ...

Lauren, I've now confirmed my booking.
Really hope to see Megatron's Mk1.5 there. Other than the engine what other mods does it have?

Re: mr2 vs
Sorry Senie, didn't really mean chav car. It's just I associated racing on the public roads with chavs, because a lot of them do it. All the MR2's are great (but quite different) cars, but if people see them street racing they will get a bad reputation. How do you know its a faster car until you ve ...

DoM,
Funny thing is I have properly damaged my engine on Saturday. So looks like if I go to the trackday I won't be in an MR2 either!

Re: mr2 vs
Just get rid of the pathetic boy racer "versus" posts. It devalues the car. The MR2 Mk1 or Mk2 or Mk3 is a fine car, stop turning it into a Chav mobile! Yes I thrash my MR2 Mk1 SC around the roads of Derbyshire, but if a faster car comes up behind me (and there are plenty of them) I simply...

Mk1 4AGZE Cylinder head gasket and seal kit, best price?
Hi,
I need a cylinder head gasket and seal kit for my 4AGZE engine. I need absolutely everything for the top end.
Anyone know the best place (i.e cheapest!) to buy this kit from?
I have been quoted $275 US.
Thanks for any replies,
Tom

Re: just my opinion.
Yes but with the really powerful turbo cars on here I would expect entry into Coppice to be a truly frightening speed... Anyone done Cadwell is a modified Mk2 turbo? What speed can you get up to? And Llenrub, went to a trackday yesterday. There was an Ariel Atom there with a 2L supercharged engine, ...
