Why not test the alternator in situ first? Beats guessing!

A free flowing exhaust will not damage your ringlands. So no need to be a sticky.

Re: REV3 THROTTLE BODY for rev2

Rev3 TB won't fit Rev2 manifold. There isn't an OEM bracket that will fit as you're trying to fit a CC that wasn't designed to fit that engine. You'll have to make one. that`s what i need??? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/91-92-TOYOTA-MR2-TURBO-3SGTE-Throttle-Body-Assembly-Inlet-OEM-/301670480773?hash=i...

Re: Battery Drain 'DOME' fuse

What current flow are you seeing via the battery lead?

The current flow at battery lead is same through DOME fuse holder with fuse removed?

This is not a difficult job - an hour a the most.

Disconnect battery.

From underneath, undo main alternator terminal and cover wire terminal with tape to insulate it from surrounding metalwork.

Umplug the 3 pin plug.

Reconnect battery.

Re: Intermittent starting problem

Starter relay is in boot behind carpet. Although extremely rare for them to fail.

No pint in guessing what it might be.

Keep a DVM handy and next time the problem occurs get it out and check for volts at starter relay when cranking.

Could easily be immob. at fault.

Re: Final Drive...

The E153 final drive ratio change you may have read about increases the ratio, thus decreases acceleration, but increases top speed. That's why you need big torque for it to be an advantage.

The parts cost around £700 and involve a 5 hour job stripping and rebuilding the gearbox.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Ongoing technical issue = losing love for my turbo! Help!

Check static timing..could be you've jumped a tooth or two. . Agreed. Cheaper and easier to use a methodical approach instead of guessing. First check mechanical side of things, so pull back top belt cover and check cam timing. Then check ignition timing. Clear codes and take out for drive til faul...
