Re: White Mk1 scrapping advice please

Well I didnt expect it to go so quickly but looks like it is going to a good home with the intention of being restored. Very happy.

Once I have tidied the drive I will be on the look out for another :D
Shouldnt have any problems getting approval from the wife, I hope.

The engine was running well when left. Dead Battery. It may be possible to repair but would need extensive work which is why I ...

Re: White Mk1 scrapping advice please

would love to strip it for parts but think my other half would emasculate me. Forgot about the premium membership thing, will look into that.

Edit
Well that took all of 2 seconds to subscribe, if only all forums were set up that way.

White Mk1 scrapping advice please

Unfortunately I must remove the rusting Mk1 that is sat on my drive, I would prefer it went to someone who would be able to make use of it. It has sat for 2 years as I couldnt admit to myself it was beyond my abilities to repair so it is in a pretty sorry state. I assume the for sale section the bes...

Re: V8 Mk1 6 speed with power steering

Just been catching up on the build and watched the videos, just amazing.
Makes me want to get a working Mk1, they are without a doubt the only car I have missed since getting rid of my first.

Re: RAC man plugged my hole.

for your information there is a plug-in for Firefox that checks spelling, I use it and it checks your spelling as you type posts on forums, quite handy.

Nice :)

If you look in the reflection on one of the side pictures you can see another MK1 (at least that what it looks like to me).

Re: *Not Mine* found a Mk1 supercharger on autotrader

They had that car when I was looking to replace my 200sx with a Toyota Soarer and that was over 2 years ago.
They leave most the cars in the rain and let the weeds grow round.
When i saw it, it was in average condition so it must have deteriorated since then.

Re: max b.h.p. without forced induction?

when you do these upgrades such as the 1mz 3 litre thing what is the limiting factor as regards top speed, im assuming its the gearbox ?

Its all very well having a mega engine but what's the point unless your gonna pull a caravan with it :D

Re: Electric conversion

For $12,000 you could have got a really nice MK1 and driven 120,000 miles.

Yes i know that isnt the point.
