It was more overtaking to prove it was fast then cutting in and braking hard. Its the usual problem, its not how good your brakes are, its how good the brakes are of the car behind you.

Bore on air intake?

Anyone know what the bore is on the air intake? I need to order a silicone step down for my new filter, but piping is stuck on the housing due to a snapped clip, so once it's off I won't be able to secure it on again so don't want to remove it as I use the car every day. Yes I can get another clip b...

Re: Guildford Midnight Run - reluctantly cancelled

Woody928, wasn't being rude, I just know from some early runs from the Guildford meet we had a few guys with things like Evos etc and it ended up with people trying to prove themselves. Which is why as a general rul eI run this as being MR2 only. But its been so long since we did one its worth openi...

Re: Guildford Midnight Run - reluctantly cancelled

Quick question to the organisers, would it be alright if my neighbour tagged along in his GTR assuming the weathers good? :) I have no problem, provided he doesn't drive like a ****. I have in the past stuck to just MR2s because of the actions of people in other cars on meets, but I am happy if he ...

Bargain for the money, its a pity you do not accept my first born or a kidney in exchange.

If it does turn out to be the power window relay box in the drivers door, drop me a PM, I have a spare you can have for postage cost.

Re: Barn Find MK1b First Start in 3 years. Help

See, This is the kind of information I needed. I will use a Y rope technique over the front axle then, pulling on the wishbones or whatever to get it up the ramp. If all goes well I might be able to drive it on, so we shall see. And yeah, once I've posted enough comments on here, I'll post some pic...

Re: New or improved pipe work.

I replaced all the TVIS hoses with silicone hoses (including underneath in the belly of the engine) and I simply bought it from Demon Tweeks I believe. I just bought several meters of silicone hosing and used that. I am not aware of a kit and often the kits are more expensive than just buying the si...

Unfortunately this could be the last run it ever does. It is very very battered now and with MOT expiring in June I am not convinced it going to make another year :(

Tony, not seen you since JAE. Hope all is well.

Please do add to the OC, the more the merrier as far as I am concerned.

Should be a big meet by all accounts, which should be extra fun for me without my fourth gear...

Six speed would be worth more than the rest of the car.

Dammit, looks like it might be gearbox hunting time.

Still 229K without a rebuild is acceptable.
