Re: fitting of an oil pressure gauge

i suppose an easier method would be using the stock pressure sensor and using a t piece of some sort to split the oil path to the new sender unit, its at the top left of the block near the toyota writing, just easier to access and hide wires.

Throttle Body Water Pipes????

Hey had my rev 1 tubby throttle body off today to paint pipes, cam cover etc and noticed three pipes going into the base of it, one i think was something to do with idle control and the other two were hot so i assume they were carrying water since they had pressure in them. now i'm sure that cirulat...

Re: handling on track

i would go for a eibach springs, if ur not upgrading the shox, then the bushes followed by the anti roll bars, then if u got time i would invest in some decent brakes.

Re: Has my gear box gone?

i found the millers oils are good, i use them for all my lubrication purposes, apart from the toytoa forlife coolant. its very easy to change but useful to have one of those suringe tool thingies.

Re: Fitting Coilovers. DIY?

i fitted my tein type flex coilovers myself and they went on in about 5 hours, before hand i made sure i bought adjustable drop links and allowed for bolts to break though luckily none did, the other problem cam with the brake hoses. the standard ones go through a hole on the strut, u can seperate t...

Re: Boost problem?

i think your hitting fuel cut, thats why when u put ur foot down as soon as the car goes into boost the engine will cut fuel until u turn the engine off and start again. i would reset the ecu first and c how it goes from there. then read the error codes from the ecu, they normaly tell a story. a gen...

Re: Which boost guage?

the stock gauge is an electronic gauge, most people use a pillar mount or like i did a apexi el gauge on its own mounting stand, the standard one is just too small and most aftermarket ones are around 52-60mm. the standard gauge gets its feed from the boost sensor at the rear right of the engine, th...

Re: How much boost can i run

i would think about 15-17psi as your car is, the boost wont be that high but u will notice that it will prob pull all the way to the redline without leaning off too much. if u get a decat that will definatly help, and since u got a turbo nowis the best time to fit a downpipe.
