Well, what can I say. I ordered a leather gear knob from Rhon and to say that she went above and beyond the call of duty is a massive understatement !

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Help - where does the hose go ??? :(
Actually, a friend dropped over and he explained that sometimes people loop off that coolant hose.
So, mine wasn't actually connected up in the first place.
When it gets dry again (next year !), I'll get under the car and sort it out, as I'd like to have the coolant going to the TB.

Apologies Steve - I'm being a bit dumb here ! I thought after I read your reply, that I'd see it when I went back out - but I didn't. I removed the following bracket http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s41/rwilson_ie/cars/IMAG0213.jpg But I think I've already connected all the hose that was on this u...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Help - where does the hose go ??? :(
Started my ST205 Chargecooler install (and fitting SARD 800s) over a week ago. Got injectors in and CC hose ran. But just putting everything back together again and I've most of the hoses back on again. But, I have one push on fitting directly under the throttle body and I can't seem to see what hos...

Anyone tried this ?
http://www.fc-hako.com/
Only AUD$175, whereas Datalogit is AUD$395.
Fc-Hako is just the hardware but it will work with FC-Edit and other Power-FC 3rd party software.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Help - clutch problem ! :(
When it originally happened, I was parked in a car park with a bollard in front of me. So, I didn't want to chance starting it in gear in case it jumped forward :( Anyway, after getting towed home, I didn't get a chance to go out to it again til last night. Put it in gear with engine off and started...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Help - clutch problem ! :(
Went out in the 2 this morning and all was fine. Got back into the car and tried to put in reverse and it would not go in - could hear gears crunching.
So, tried other gears and none would go in.
Turned engine off and I was able to put gear shifter into any gear.
Any help appreciated
TIA
Rob

Hey Jeff
Don't suppose you want to sell the MR Spider brochure ?
I've been checking on Yahoo JP Auctions now and again but no luck.
Cheers

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Spacers - have I understood correctly ?
I had seen that but I thought the M12 x 1.5 referred to the size of the bolt head and the thread size ? And not the actual length ?
I thought you could have a M12x1.5, which is 1 inch long and one which is, say 3 inches long etc ?

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Spacers - have I understood correctly ?
All the Hubcentric spacers I have looked at were well over 100 euros. But these appear to be hubcentric and are quite cheap. Will they do the job ? They seem to have the spigot section. http://www.fk-automotive.de/websale7/FK-Wheel-spacer---20-mm-System-A---fit-for.htm?Ctx=%7bver%2f7%2fver%7d%7bst%2...

I got wheels from POTN and they were 73mm bore but they included spigot rings to go from 60->73. Seems to be fine - no noticeable wobble.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Spacers - have I understood correctly ?
Right, if you look at this photo here : Image Replaced With URL For Quote http://i853.photobucket.com/albums/ab98/albovic/OURMR22-2.jpg you can see the spigot diameter on the front face of the spacer? If you were to use normal, non hubcentric spacers they wouldn't have that spigot diameter on which...

[Mk2] [Generic] Spacers - have I understood correctly ?
Was thinking to use Spacers (as I can't afford wider wheels at the mo) and wanted to check if I have understood them properly. Does the need for hubcentric spacers arise when you want to go wider ? i.e. its for strength ? So, the generic metal plate type non hub-centric spacers are good for say 5mm ...
