It was parked up years ago because a boost problem but other than this it looks remarkably well maintained. It cranks fine, it has a good spark, t...

Re: car will not start
stick a multimeter across the battery and see what you have. try a jump. if this fails then its not the battery so look for other things. does your boot get damp? if so undo the large connector from the loom( behind the panel) and clean and give it a squirt of WD.

Re: JINXY IS BACK !!!
a lesser spotted jinxy is almost as rare as short toed crazylegs. you may find them lurking in the under growth.
Some thought both were extinct but there has just been a period of long hibernation.
Strange coincidence they both appeared at around the same time.
long time mate.

why not try and get next to the mk1club stand and have twice the room/cars/help. seems a bit silly to have 2 clubs doing the same thing.

Re: problems with car not starting

MrT will charge you an arm and two legs for a distributor. check all the connectors from the distributor back especially the large connector on the loom at the base of the boot. give the dizzy a good clean out with some contact cleaner spray and try again. just had a quick search and ...
