thanks pauln. it is a relatives car so i will check next time i get over to him. no point in trying to tell him as a spanner is an alien object to him. Why he thought he would buy a turbo i will never know.

hi ollie, yes still have the SC stored away for when i have the time to enjoy it.

So fuel pump is accessible by the gear stick? i assumed that was the sender unit.

stick a multimeter across the battery and see what you have. try a jump. if this fails then its not the battery so look for other things. does your boot get damp? if so undo the large connector from the loom( behind the panel) and clean and give it a squirt of WD.

a lesser spotted jinxy is almost as rare as short toed crazylegs. you may find them lurking in the under growth.
Some thought both were extinct but there has just been a period of long hibernation.
Strange coincidence they both appeared at around the same time.

i can supply and fit for that !! go to your local factors or search ebay you should get them cheaper. the for ones would need cutting and welding. not good in my eyes.

hold on a bit. MrT will charge you an arm and two legs for a distributor. check all the connectors from the distributor back especially the large connector on the loom at the base of the boot. give the dizzy a good clean out with some contact cleaner spray and try again. just had a quick search and ...
