Re: Heater coolant leaking into passenger footwell (Mk 1 F-reg)

on a similar note to reggie if you want the hassle of taking one out i have a part stripped car .you can have it for free the advantage being you dont have to be delicate a crow bar will remove the dash! you might get some idea of how to get it out, the car is going soon any way. i`m in Woking if it...

Re: Bloody understeer and strange handling.

the tyre contact patch cant be that simple.i agree that tyre pressure and weight will be a factor.the tyre width and diameter must come into it.you cant tell me you get the same grip from a 20cm wide tyre as you do from a 40cm wide one.if the pressure is the same you must get more friction from more...

as previously said your cooling system needs looking at.i think its probably your wax stat thats given up the ghost.you can do three thing if it has 1: buy a new wax stat from Toyota (mega bucks) 2: take off the air intake look down the throttle body and fine a small hole on the right, block this wit...

Re: [mk1] Running temp

I wouldn`t worry ,if it stays down you are ok.I have a mk1 that sits just over half way and also another(which is for sale) which never even gets to the half way mark.Stays around a third even after sitting running for half an hour. The sensors vary so unless it is getting v.hot just give it a bleed ...

Re: body work

Yes attention to detail is an understatement.I went in for two rear wheel arches and a respray to front and rear bumpers.they also rubbed down the whole of the side of the car where the clear coat was peeling, the blending in was a virtual respray to both sides! this was all done in the initial quote...
