Re: i`ll kill the b tards if i catch em

toyota prices are ok about £20 per barrel but then they say £40 to get them converted to my key.thats EACH! £60 per side is a bit excessive .i bet they dont pay £40 for the conversion.so come on someone must know who can do this for me.

Re: Win my Nur spec exhaust for £1.50

why cant you do it? seems like a good idea to me.
you could sell nice bits of paper with a picture of the exhaust .they may by chance have a number in the corner.no rules about selling pictures for charity is there?

Re: Mk1 Windscreen Removal.... DIY'able?

i think you must have been lucky to get it out with just pressure on the inside.in my experience they dont like to move.i cut up a car last summer and had a 4 ft bar under the screen it cracked but would not let go.i would say you will need a tool to cut through the bonding.

Re: Advice Needed PLEASE

Hi welcome to the world of mk1s.just a few starters .they all rust on the rear arches and the rear corners.check in the boot in the corners there will be a space on each side under the carpet which goes to the bottom of the rear corner.you will probably find rust and may find them full of water!thes...

Re: Break Discs/Pads

i dont agree with you lauren.i have grooved discs on the front and am using greenstuff.i dont get any worse braking due to cold, only better when hot.that is the green stuff is as good as standard or slightly better cold but noticably better when hot.i dont think the wear is really that bad either.an...

Re: Magnetic oil drain plug

the theory behind these plugs is simple, oil filters are great for removing large particles but as particle size decreases the filtration falls.typical numbers are as follows:- at particle size of 40 microns you get 97% filtration,30 microns 93%,20 microns 60% and 10 microns only 40%.so basically you...

Re: TOPPING UP GEAR BOX OIL

just a quick one that might save a lot of swearing. undo the fill plug first,if its stuck and you have drained the oil you are in trouble. get a good hex socket the plugs are very shallow and can round off with a multi point one.
