Re: £15 = 50 miles - Poor MPG

Well I get 240 miles out of 44 litres. Fill the tank up when the orange fuel light is pretty much on solid to full, which is 44 litres for my Rev 3 Tubby. If I drive keeping car between 50 - 60 MPH with the odd heavy right foot action to blast round slow cars I avearge just under 6 miles a litre. I ...

Hi Heard a bang while driving from the engine bay, then the air con seemed not to be cooling any more. Got car back home and I could not hear the magnetic clutch enguage that drives the compressor, usually it goes clunk when switched on. Looked under the car and resting on the under tray was the fro...

Hi May be worth trying another Hall Sensor if you can get hold of one, will see if I can find an easy way to test that without having to strip the dizzy, usualy just coils of wire (and a spinning multiple tooth magnet that induces voltage in the coil) so should have a fairly low DC resistance using ...

Hi Ckeck that the multiplug is plugged in to the bottom or side of the distributer, there is a hall effect sensor in there that feeds back pulses to the ECU, this then knows when to actually generate the pulse to make the coil pack spark. removing the rocker cover he may of disterbed something aroun...

Hi Does anyone know where (apart from Toyota) I can get the dust covers / bump stops for the front and rear struts / shocks, mine have disintegrated. Hi

I could possibly repair (parts permitting) the faulty ones for you as I am a repair tech of 12 years and these are Matsushita (Panasonic / Technics) units after all.

Have fixed quite a few of the CDN3000 and equivelant ones before, that just spat the discs out.

cambelt replacement

Hi If you have Air con the only real issue you will have is with the intercooler and its bottom mount bracket, the air con tensioner pulley has to come off to allow intercooler to be removed (without its bottom bracket) to allow engine mount and bolt to be removed, this allows access to cambelt cove...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Steering Fog light wiring diagram needed.

Hi I have a 1991 Tubro and the steering fog lights do not work. I have tested the steering fog control box and the actual fog lights and all work / steer fine on my mates MR2, fuse is ok so I can only assume it has a wiring fault. I get continuity from fog light steering plug to control box on both ...
