Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] How would I find a boost leak?
Good call, but how would I know when the valves are in a position to be closed or would I be better off shoving a can of beans in the silicon pipe at the throttle end too?

[Mk2] [Turbo] How would I find a boost leak?
Did a search but I think the search system is fubar'd as clicking "search for all words" and entering "find boost leak" brought up 7000+ posts, the same as searching for leak did. Anyways :) I was wondering what method is best to find a boost leak between turbo and inlet on a tub...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Plus and O2 sensor look like this (pics) - gulp!
Been to Fort William once a few years ago, quite quiet
Found the problem after some googling, turns out that octane booster (Miller CVL Turbo) does this to plugs etc.
So major panic overted!

[Mk2] [Turbo] Plus and O2 sensor look like this (pics) - gulp!
Just back from the garage where I was getting loads of daft little things sorted out and decided to change the plugs over and check out my O2 sensor. Reason being last month, the day before TOTB, the car lost a lot of power. Checked the usual, pipes etc but everything "seemed" ok. No time ...

Hi folks, Well - after a week things have improved a bit but its still nowhere near as sharp as it was. Havnt had a chance to pop the spark plugs out yet unfortunately but was going to try this very soon along with checking if the O2 is coked up. Thanks again for all your help, glad I havent killed ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Drove with IC pipe loose - reset ECU - still lacks power :(
Hi guys, I will try that tomorrow, reason I didnt think of it is because everytime without fail before that things have been amiss, a reset was an instant and complete cure. As if it wiped the knock tables out of the system and there was no igntion retard at all, anywhere. This time it feels like th...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Drove with IC pipe loose - reset ECU - still lacks power :(
my rev2 turbo reacted like this it. The problem turned out to be that i had the boost turned up to high I thought it might have been something like that but even pulling away from the carpark after leaving it disconnected overnight it was lifeless and thats before the ECU even saw any boost. I dont...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Drove with IC pipe loose - reset ECU - still lacks power :(
Hi folks, wondering if anyones got an ideas on this one. My car was running really happily of late. I had it remapped about a month ago on my Unichip since I've got a Berk IC fitted now and wanted to make sure everything was running great. It made the same peak power but was more alive all the way t...

Re: TOTB - Feedback please
The constantly up to date website idea is one I had thought about on the day, you could even strip it back to a basic wireless network on site and a little LAN with a single hosted page that people could visit on a mobile or laptop. It would probably be easier to do it fully online though, then peo...

Re: TOTB - Feedback please
The organisers of the actual event should of done a better job of keeping the guys in charge of the teams updated on how things were going. Maybe they should have a scoreboard of all the different teams up, just to show how they're fareing in real-time. (a nightmare to do though, i'd of thought). H...

Re: Ten of the Best (TOTB) 2007 - Elvington, 29th July - MR2s needed...
IIRC originally it was a 'supercar' event (the first one had Porsches) but the modifying crowd muscled in and the supercar owners got the huff and said they wouldn't take part any more?? (Saw an argument on this on GTROC many moons ago, same discussion where they said MR2s were not even worthy to b...

Or Escort Cosworths What do you think the MK1 Escorts were underneath? :) As for the Germans, I guess they are worried about something - would be nice to see more "supercars" and exotica though. Real ones you twonk! :P With most Cossie lover/owners rosetinted view of the performance scene...

Re: TOTB - Feedback please
I was along with keith cowie and co and had a great day. It was very busy, lots going on but having last been in 2004 I noticed that there didnt seem to be as many tuning companies around (didnt see Abbey for instance) competing. I was really impressed with the MR2 turnout, and you guys made me walk...

Well done everyone! First time I'd been to TOTB for 3 years and was amazed at the number of people who were competing with MR2's and as mentioned, the good atmosphere between the different MR2 tuning companies. I even interupted one chap (bloke with glasses and Rogue shirt on) to beg for some help o...

Re: Ultimate 3SGTE ECU Datalogger
I wondered if I could help with figuring out the revision 3 stuff. Without knowing ...
