Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Do uprated cams help reduce turbo lag?
There is no way Jims car will idle at 900rpm, already tried and its not nice but the old owner didn't want the cam timing changing to fix as they likes the sound  The way PP have set the cam timing is pretty mad but works well for power and torque. To get the car to idle better jim and loose th...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Do uprated cams help reduce turbo lag?
Jim - i would say its your apexi PFC that causes the gash running issues, i had the same then since i went to the link the difference was night and day and drove amazingly well. Nathan same here .my car runs poo at around 1900-2000 when on very light loading ie worse when just on the throttle in sl...

Re: Rolling Road Result (TD06)
The boost control is better on the road but still not perfect and the dyno just exaggerates the loading on the car which make it worse. I suspect a tear maybe in the Wastegate seal or a dodgy AVCR solenoid.
Either way it goes like stink

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Greddy profec spec B clicking solonoid
Boost solenoids work just like an injector in which a electromagnetic coil opens a valve, or with injectors it lifts the pintle off its seat when activated. The amount of time it is activated comes from the duty cycle set. Duty cycle is the amount of time the coil is activated and deactivated. So if...

There were only 2 teams in the end. Supra's and MR2 with 3s, sadly due to the amazing skill of one or two of the MR2 drivers (and James), we lost The supra team did have 2 ringers though.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] boot mounted intercooler
Although many cars have provided great results from using the universal Xs-power 4 row intercoolers on here I would recommend looking more at the skyline units which can be found on eBay for a very similar price. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-SKYLINE-GTR-R32-R33-R34-FRONT-MOUNT-INTERCOOLER_W0QQitemZ2...

Hi Dave Got your E-mails but thought it would be better to post on here. The ecu does look standard indead which is very strange as the afr curve almost copies the blitz curve which we saw on a celica gt4 a couple of months ago but yours doesn't seem as bad as the power curve is smoother. http://i19...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Power FC Comander - Acceptable Knock level?
There isn't an acceptable level as such as every engine and sensor provides different levels. What i do on all my maps is set the level i hear knock as the level which lights up the CEL light. But on a stock engines with a stock sensor though i normally see knock levels around 45-50 when i hear Knoc...

Re: can anyone tell me what sensor this is???? by the diag port.....
Its a denso 3bar map sensor.
Comes with some of the powerfc boost controller kits.
Seems someone needed something to read more than 1.6bar (stock map sensor limit)

Fo Sure :thumleft: I didn't realise he meant wheel power. Neither 400 flywheel..... .....unless in america :eye: With the bigger variants of thre GT28 you should be able to get close to 400fwbhp on a fully built motor/charge cooled/good map I agree, though, it would be far better to run a GT3071 :t...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Which Cams to get?
Paul. the rev3 head drops straight on the rev1/2 block no problems. This would be the easiest and cheapest option, you must be able to pick up a rev3 head inlet and exhaust manifold for 2/300 quid then just get a rev3 HG and away you go! Ryan, interesting stuff about the early cams, do you find you...
