You dont need to unplug the vacuum to the tvis guys During the conversion the tvis wires should get cut Then the solenoid will remain always closed not allowing any vacuum to the actuator. PMSL Did you do any damage mate never seen a mr2 as lower as yours in the flesh. Good to meet ya like wish mate just shame that alex has problem with one of components fitted. First one which is not 100% out of 11 i think but this is the only prob when buying 2nd hand goods for conversion Definatly ...

When you then map the car with powerfc you can select how much ignition you want it to pull at what temp. The intake temp you should be seeing on the powerfc commandor and the powerfc should be seeing is the MAT sensor. So you have just wired yours the wrong way round jim. You want the ecu to read the temps at the manifold as if your chargecooler or intercooler fails or heat soaks then it will pull the ...

The smell you experienced comes from the screamer pipe, due to it being directly behind you. The sweet smell as you described is the stainless steel piping of the screamer pipe getting very hot which gives of a sweet odour, is to do with the chemical make up of the stainless. Air temps do seem rather high jim, as suggested on phone move your Mat sensor and report back.
